About the role:
Principal Data Product Manager will lead, influence and grow Boston Scientific data capabilities across governance through data democratization and AI/ML. Ensuring data is converted to enterprise assets to accelerate the Commercial, Operational, Employee and Clinical outcomes is the primary responsibility.  Other responsibilities are detailed below that spans discovery, evaluation and development new product ideas, enhancements to existing products or strategic product extensions, and translates research discoveries into usable and marketable products. 


Your responsibilities include: 

  • Defines product roadmaps converting strategic business outcomes into clear set of capabilities and features to accelerate data transformation
  • Leads, plans and tracks all phases of the product life cycle, from inception to introduction and adoption by the targeted audience/markets 
  • Develops design briefs for new product ideas, including specifications, sketches and/or models to present a clear, focused concept for strategic consideration. 
  • Delivers business impact and accelerate data products through Innovation and Incubation
  • Create of prioritized roadmaps in collaboration with different business and technology functions
  • Developing and implementing standardized product methodology enabling product teams across BSC to develop data products with speed, agility and reliability
  • Roadmap and develop technology capabilities and features that drive vitality, reliability, scalability, monitoring and Dev/Data and ML Ops
  • Define and implement development methodology to establish artifacts and controls to meet the governance, security, privacy and evolving compliance/regulations across the globe
  • Collaborates with the architects, managers and other product teams to define interdependencies, management of tech debt and risks related to data products
  • Evaluates and implements prototypes, new technology introduction, evaluation, documentation and justification of decisions made to support execution and support of data products
  • Supports the DnA CoE Leaders and other product teams with change management, communication, risk management and execution rigor


What we’re looking for: 
Basic Qualifications

  • Engineering background with information technology focus
  • 10+ years of experience in product management preferably in the data and analytics space
  • Led enterprise product transformations in a complex data systems and platforms environment
  • Worked in a lean/agile environment to create roadmap while managing tech debt
  • Exceptional communication skills, demonstrate executive presence and have experience shaping products harnessing power of cross-functional, cross-technology global teams 

Preferred Qualifications

  • Deep understanding of clouds, data and AI
  • Experience in Cloud orchestration and edge management 
  • Ability to think business processes holistically to construct fine grained data flows and associated data artifacts
  • Good understanding of data models for self-service data use vs. traditional analytics
  • Good understanding of content curation.
  • Understanding of data privacy preservation techniques to ensure individuals’ privacy 
  • MS or MBA with 10-15 years of progressive experience in large data driven organization
  • Visible in the industry – speaking at national data management/CDO events, publications
