About the role

The Exhibits & Events Experience Specialist leads the planning and execution of integrated national and global congress and tradeshow experiences for healthcare professionals. This role partners closely with the Sr. Manager Communications & Campaign Planning, Marketing, Medical Affairs, Corporate Communications, Health Economics & Reimbursement and Commercial teams to deliver cohesive, compliant and measurable engagement strategies before, during and after industry events.

 

This individual ensures congress presence extends beyond the physical booth, driving coordinated pre-show awareness, onsite engagement, and post-show follow-up that strengthens clinical relationships and supports business objectives. The ideal candidate combines strong event execution capabilities with omnichannel fluency, stakeholder coordination, and measurable impact orientation.

 

Work Mode:

At Boston Scientific, we value collaboration and synergy. This role follows a hybrid work model requiring employees to be in our local office at least three days per week.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Partner with Communications leads to develop integrated national and global congress engagement strategies.
  • Build comprehensive activation plans spanning pre-show, onsite, and post-show phases.
  • Coordinate targeted pre-show campaigns across email, digital, media, and field channels.
  • Align messaging, creative and timing across channels to ensure a cohesive HCP experience.
  • Lead execution of onsite activations including booth presence, product theaters and meetings.
  • Coordinate across all key stakeholders (Marketing, Clinical, R&D, Sales, Agencies, Vendors).
  • Ensure consistency and compliance with global brand, regulatory and company policies.
  • Manage external vendors, agencies, timelines, and budgets.
  • Oversee lead capture strategy and ensure seamless integration with CRM systems.
  • Partner with Omnichannel teams to support timely post-show follow-up.
  • Collaborate with Omnichannel teams to drive post-event engagement and retargeting efforts.
  • Define and track KPIs across pre-, onsite, and post-show engagement activities.
  • Analyze performance data and deliver post-event insights and recommendations.
  • Support annual planning and investment prioritization.
  • Develop scalable playbooks and best practices to enhance future efficiencies and impact.

 

Required qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, Communications, or related field.
  • A minimum of 5 years experience in tradeshow management, experiential marketing, omnichannel marketing or commercial event strategy within medtech, pharma, or life sciences.
  • Demonstrated experience supporting national and international medical congresses.
  • Experience partnering with omnichannel teams to deliver integrated campaigns.
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple high-visibility initiatives simultaneously.
  • Experience coordinating cross-functional stakeholders in a matrixed organization.
  • Familiarity with HCP engagement compliance requirements (e.g., AdvaMed Code, Sunshine/Open Payments).
  • Ability to travel domestically and internationally as required.

 

Preferred qualifications:

  • MBA or advanced degree.
  • Experience leading global tradeshow and congress strategy across multiple regions.
  • Strong understanding of CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce) and lead management processes.
  • Experience with marketing automation platforms and digital performance analytics.
  • Proven ability to define KPIs and measure omnichannel campaign effectiveness.
  • Experience managing external agencies and large-scale event budgets.
  • Knowledge of therapeutic area marketing within procedural or device-based specialties.
  • Executive presence and ability to present performance insights to senior leadership.

Compensation will be commensurate with demonstrable level of experience and training, pertinent education including licensure and certifications, among other relevant business or organizational needs. Compensation for non-exempt (hourly), non-sales roles may also include variable compensation from time to time (e.g., any overtime and shift differential) and annual bonus target (subject to plan eligibility and other requirements).
