About the role:
The Principal Field Clinical Engineer (FCE) supports a growing department that manages a large pivotal study program based on an innovative medical device technology platform. The Principal FCE will be responsible for all aspects of case support and product education aimed at treating patients with hypertension.This role will be reporting to Director, Structural Heart Therapy Development.
Work Mode:
This is a remote position upto 75% travel required. Candidates located on the East Coast are encouraged to apply. North Carolina or New York or located near a major airport.

Your responsibilities will include:
- Acts as a clinical interface between the medical community and the business. Provides engineering, educational, and technical support under general guidance, addressing field inquiries from physicians and healthcare professionals regarding the company’s renal denervation product
- Performs work that involves a high degree of independence. Identifies and routinely uses the most effective, cost efficient and best business practices to execute processes; continually evaluates their effectiveness and appropriateness
- Exercises independent judgment in planning, organizing and performing work; monitors performance and reports status to manager
- Demonstrates ability to build and sustain credible business relationships with customers and shares product expertise accordingly
- Provides engineering, educational, and clinical support in response to field inquiries, demonstrating deep product knowledge and awareness of technical trends and key stakeholders
- Develops, leads and/or facilitates trainings and other programs to healthcare professionals
- Provides insight, guidance, and feedback to management on market feedback and components of next generation of products
- Provides regional procedural case coverage and additional back-up support in the following areas -Clinical study monitoring/data collection; trouble shooting; and, new product in-service training to physicians and healthcare professionals
- Continuously develops engineering and technical skills relative to the overall company strategy, including learning opportunities
- Supports advanced educational seminars and prepares related materials, while also assisting with product demonstrations for visiting physicians and healthcare professionals
- Maintains up-to-date expertise in relevant fields, regulatory standards, and possesses strong working knowledge of company and competitor products, market dynamics, strategic objectives, and industry trends
- Resolves and/or facilitates resolution of problems including identifying causes to prevent re occurrence
- Performs related functions and responsibilities, on occasion, as assigned
Required qualifications:
- Minimum Bachelor’s degree in Bio-Medical Engineering, related field or equivalent healthcare experience required.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in clinical research experience including coordinating multi center trials with established technical expertise and knowledge
- Ability to travel upto 75% domestically
- Proven experience in presenting, writing and teaching clinical and medical information
- Proven experience with group presentations and hands-on experience with interventional/surgical catheter based interventions
- Collaborate effectively with engineers, technical experts, and customers to achieve objectives, while successfully managing multiple concurrent assignments
- Ensure compliance with clinical study protocol, and identifying areas of concern and escalating when appropriate
Preferred qualifications:
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with strong interpersonal abilities and proficiency in medical terminology
- Clinical research experience within the medical device industry
- Proven track record coordinating multi-center cardiology trials, with solid understanding of ICH guidelines and clinical trial compliance
- Proficient in using productivity tools including word processing, spreadsheets, and database applications

Compensation will be commensurate with demonstrable level of experience and training, pertinent education including licensure and certifications, among other relevant business or organizational needs. At BSC, it is not typical for an individual to be hired near the bottom or top of the anticipated salary range listed above.
Compensation for non-exempt (hourly), non-sales roles may also include variable compensation from time to time (e.g., any overtime and shift differential) and annual bonus target (subject to plan eligibility and other requirements).
