About the role:
The Principal Financial Analyst will play a pivotal role in delivering strategic financial planning, forecasting, reporting, and business insights in support of Boston Scientific’s Global Endoscopy Division. This highly visible position is responsible for the full P&L consolidation and reporting for the division and acts as the primary finance business partner to SG&A (Selling, General & Administrative) functions across the global business.
This role offers the opportunity to influence decision-making, drive process improvements, and support the division's financial integrity and strategic direction. The ideal candidate brings a combination of technical financial expertise, business acumen, and the ability to collaborate across global and cross-functional teams.
At Boston Scientific, we value collaboration and synergy. This role follows a hybrid work model requiring employees to be in our Marlborough office at least three days per week. Your responsibilities will include:
- Own full divisional P&L consolidation and reporting, collaborating with regional and operations finance teams to develop global visibility into key metrics, trends, and drivers.
- Coordinate the monthly, quarterly, and annual financial planning and forecasting processes for the Global Endoscopy Division, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and timeliness of reporting.
- Serve as the lead finance partner for SG&A functions across the division, providing decision support, financial modeling, and analytical insights to inform strategic and operational initiatives.
- Collaborate with cross-functional partners and Corporate Financial Operations to drive continuous improvement in financial systems, reporting tools, and processes.
- Ensure compliance with all internal controls, SOX requirements, and accounting standards (US GAAP), while upholding Boston Scientific’s high standards for financial integrity.
- Support strategic planning and long-range forecasting activities to align financial resources with divisional priorities and global growth initiatives.
Required qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, business, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years' experience in financial analysis, planning, or business partnering roles.
- Proven ability to partner with senior business leaders and translate complex financial data into actionable business insights.
- Strong technical expertise in financial modeling, budgeting, and forecasting.
- Advanced proficiency with financial tools and systems such as Excel, PowerPoint, Power BI, Hyperion, and SAP.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills with the ability to influence stakeholders across a matrixed organization.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently in a dynamic environment with competing priorities and tight deadlines.
Preferred qualifications:
- MBA or advanced degree in finance, accounting, or a related field.
- Experience in the medical device, healthcare, or manufacturing industries.
- Familiarity with global financial operations and multinational business environments.
