The Principal Financial Analyst will play a key role within the Urology and Pelvic Health finance group.  The individual will provide reporting, analytics and planning primarily supporting our capital equipment business, and will be a key contributor to understanding and communicating the financial performance of the division.

 

This position also partners with senior management of the division, providing support and consultation on their functional areas of the business.  Position reports to the UroPH Associate Director and has a high degree of cross-functional collaboration, as well as interaction with other divisional and regional finance groups across the organization.

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Perform inventory accounting, quarterly EE&O reviews, serve as liaison with supply chain for inventory related issues.
  • Serve as divisional representative on the CETS team, provide divisional inputs to reporting process, understand planning outputs and attend review calls.
  • Be the liaison with the plant network to help division understand monthly results as well as help drive the annual standard improvement process.
  • Lead the OCOGs planning process.  Develop and perform monthly more robust margin reporting including price or volume impact.
  • Support the onboarding process of Lumenis capital equipment process and related sales programs through providing meaningful financial guidelines and metrics.  Partner with the sales operations team to monitor the health of sales programs and support the team through ongoing program development.
  • Perform the monthly accounting processes around sales type lease accounting for capital equipment programs.
  • Support enterprise-wide gross margin optimization initiatives and the UroPH division Project Excelsior workstreams.  Partner with newly formed Capital Center of Excellence as appropriate.
  • Become a subject matter expert and assist with further enhancements of corporate-wide planning tools, leverage system knowledge to continuously improve reporting processes and work with IS to ensure data accuracy / reconciliations across our systems.

Requirements:

Four to seven years of financial analysis, planning, and business support experience required. Prior experience in a medium to large company with capital equipment preferred.  Bachelor's degree in Business, Economics, Finance or Accounting required (MBA or masters a plus).  Must be able to work well in a complex, highly matrixed worldwide organization and be able to simplify that matrix for reporting and analytical purposes.

 

The successful candidate will need to exhibit the following skills:

  • Strong systems skills. Familiarity with Hyperion Planning and SAP a plus.  Strong Excel skills required.
  • Ability to consolidate, synthesize and report on large amounts of financial data.
  • Very strong financial analysis skills. Attention to detail & data accuracy.
  • Outstanding verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work autonomously and act in a consultative role.
  • Exceptional organizational & time management skills are crucial.  Environment is fast-paced and multi-tasking is essential.
  • Ideal candidate will show drive and ambition to develop and grow into more senior finance roles.
