About the role:
Boston Scientific Information Technology is looking for an experienced IT Finance – Product Manager to support BSC’s Financial Consolidations, Planning and Reporting (FCPR) team. In this role you will participate and act as a leader for global Hyperion platform, support S4-SAP transformation, maintaining high standards to support existing environment, implementing new functionalities and helping to build key capabilities. 

Act as IT Finance product leader and design and deliver innovative, creative solutions for the Hyperion platform. 
Initiates, designs and manages the complete user-centered design cycle (user research, user modeling, user needs assessment, design, testing, developer relations) for S4-SAP transformation.
The role will support finance organization and create a trusted source of financial information for internal and external reporting. 
Track progress to ensure achievement of all milestones and deliverables while managing risks and issues.
Develop expertise in finance space and EPM technology solutions in order to lead.
Continue to leverage technology systems to support the company’s success and overall goals.
This individual should be highly motivated with functional and technical expertise, as well as excellent analysis and execution skills. 

 

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Incorporate Agile, Lean, and User Centered Design methodologies to execute on product development, implementation and operations.
  • Serve as a Product Manager in a balanced team developing IT Finance – EPM solutions and products.
  • Help establish dedicated, co-located product teams, consisting of Product Managers, Product Owners, and Analysts.
  • Partner with Designers to lead kickoff, Discovery and Framing, and other exploratory activities for each project.
  • Articulate Product Vision and Strategy to the team, to stakeholders, and to external parties.
  • Establish Product Roadmap in collaboration with Product Owners.
  • Establish and track measurable objectives for the team.
  • Responsible for product development prioritization and decisions on releases, as a result of a close partnership with developers, end users and the business.
  • Informs product decisions by collecting and prioritizing designer, analysts/engineer and business stakeholder input
  • Writes user stories, maintain & manage backlog, continually de-risk the product direction validate product features and design. 
  • Holds team meetings (Standup, Planning Meeting, Retro) and help plan and facilitate stakeholder and end-user meetings/interviews.
  • Defines product vision, strategy, and roadmap, business model, MVP.
  • Adjusts direction based on data, customer feedback, and business stakeholder feedback.
  • Communicates product updates back to business stakeholders through frequent communications.
  • Ensures continuous compliance throughout product development by engaging and sharing with appropriate stakeholders as applicable (quality, regulatory, privacy, security, etc.).
  • Collaborate with divisional stakeholders on strategy, optimal product definition and the Agile, Lean, DevOps process and culture.
  • Help maintain team culture and communication.
  • Work with colleagues in IT, and partner with Quality, Regulatory, HR, Legal, and Finance to drive the adoption of modern Lean/Agile/DevOps practices.
  • Build trust with stakeholders, working through difficult transitions to agile best practices.
  • Develop and maintain healthy product teams while maintaining a sustainable pace.
  • Manage product interconnectivity and system integrations, disease states; capable of learning rapidly to fill any knowledge gaps

 

EPM (Hyperion, SAP) Skills

  • Experience in at least three full lifecycle engagements of Hyperion, SAP or similar Consolidation and/or Planning and Budgeting applications and implementation of Reporting Applications and its integration with financial applications.
  • Support the Planning/Budgeting and Financial Close consolidation processes for the EPM environment.
  • Extensive experience with Excel based tools, Data forms, and Web Forms; Ability to analyze & diagnose data issues and fix.
  • Experience with data conversion and loading source data into EPM platform.
  • Must have experience moving data between EPM Modules (e.g. Hyperion Planning and Hyperion Financial Management, SAP Analytics for Cloud, Group Reporting)
  • Supporting the Troubleshooting of issues within the overnight load processes and diagnose issues.
  • Experience with Financial reports - Build/ Enhance/Troubleshoot Financial Reports using tools such as Hyperion Financial Reports, SAP Fiori Apps and Hyperion Cloud BI Reporting.
  • Experience with managing Masterdata, and Security structure.
  • Provide support and execute internal audit and Sox requirements. 
  • Ability to create, update, and review functional and technical documents.
  • Ability to develop test data, test scripts and execute comprehensive testing of integrated systems.
  • Maintains and continuously upgrades her/his knowledge of Hyperion and Oracle technologies, S4-SAP, finance, external competitive landscape, Audits/Sox etc.

 

What we're looking for in you:

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in related field.
  • 6+ years of experience in business process & system analysis role and managing large IT projects.
  • Extensive EPM admin & project experience – Preferably Hyperion/SAP.
  • Experience partnering with IT, Vendor and/or Business Customers on projects.
  • Experience working in an agile team.
  • Self-starter with strong, proactive work ethic and fast learner.
  • Proven ability to navigate organizational network to get to the right person.
  • Being imaginative & having high creative quotient.
  • Creative thinker to look for continued ways to utilize and optimize capabilities of the system.
  • Excellent problem solving and analytical skills.
  • Demonstrated success working in a highly collaborative, matrix environment, with a track record of accomplishments with measurable business impact.
  • Experience working in a regulated industry.
  • Experience shipping both new products as well as improving upon existing ones.
  • Understanding of SOX and other Management Controls.
  • Solid understanding of Hyperion Modules: HFM, FDMEE, Planning and SAP Modules: Group Reporting, SAC

 
Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's Degree in related field.
  • Experience working on large scale projects.
  • Experience in Product Teams, Agile, SCRUM and Kanban methodologies.
  • Experience working on solutions in a controlled environment.
  • Understanding of the software development lifecycle and methodologies.
  • Past experience in Finance and Audit-Sox space.
