About the role:
As a Project Manager I within Endoscopy, you will lead product development and sustaining initiatives that support business continuity and strategic growth. You will collaborate across functions, divisions and global teams to drive projects that range in size and complexity, including new product development, regulatory and quality initiatives, business process improvements, and transformational change efforts.
This role will focus on leading a program to commercialize a portfolio of externally sourced products through Boston Scientific’s distribution process, partnering closely with a supplier in China. You will operate from a division leadership perspective, interfacing with Supplier Quality, Supplier Engineering, Division Quality, Regulatory, R&D, and Clinical/Medical Safety to ensure successful execution.

This role requires flexibility to support collaboration across China and U.S. East Coast time zones, including evening meetings. Travel to China is expected approximately once per quarter.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Lead project and program management activities across initiation, planning, execution, monitoring and closure
- Develop and manage project plans, schedules, budgets and resource requirements using standard tools and methodologies
- Drive execution by assigning tasks, tracking progress, identifying risks and implementing mitigation strategies
- Manage project dependencies and critical path activities while ensuring adherence to Boston Scientific methodologies (e.g., GSM)
- Ensure project quality through compliance with established development and quality system processes
- Communicate project status through regular reporting and stakeholder updates
- Resolve project issues through cross-functional collaboration and stakeholder engagement
- Lead cross-functional teams, including multi-site teams, fostering accountability and strong team performance
- Provide input to functional managers on team and individual performance
- Oversee site project portfolio activities, including prioritization, resourcing, tracking and governance
- Serve as liaison across functions and sites for programs where the site is a contributor or stakeholder
- Lead key communications including project reviews, business reviews, meeting minutes, issue logs and performance metrics
- Conduct project post-mortems and implement lessons learned to improve future execution
- Share project management best practices and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives
- Maintain compliance with the Quality Policy and all applicable quality system requirements to ensure patient safety and product quality
Required qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in science, engineering or business and minimum of 7 years' experience in product development, including minimum of 3 years' experience in project management OR Master’s degree in science, engineering or business and minimum of 5 years' experience in product development
- Demonstrated experience leading cross-functional teams and managing project scope, schedule and budget
- Results-oriented with a focus on delivering high-quality outcomes on time
- Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of the organization
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications such as building project plans, dependencies and timelines through Microsoft Project and communicating complex projects utilizing PowerPoint
Preferred qualifications:
- Experience in the medical device industry
- Project Management Professional (PMP) certification
- Technical or engineering background
- Experience managing global or China‑based programs
- Ability to obtain and maintain a China travel visa
- Strong organizational, interpersonal, verbal, written and presentation skills
- High emotional intelligence with the ability to lead through influence and adapt leadership style
- Bilingual English/Mandarin
