About the role:
Join the Urology Complaint Investigation Site (CIS) team as a Quality Engineer II, where we are committed to transforming customer experiences into actionable insights that improve patient outcomes across the globe. In this role, you will be responsible for monitoring, identifying, investigating, and escalating product performance signals related to our products within the Urology division. This is an exciting opportunity within the Post Market Organization to collaborate with Design Assurance, R&D, Supplier Engineering, and Manufacturing teams to ensure a comprehensive understanding of product performance and drive continuous improvement. This position is based in Marlborough, MA.

Work model, sponsorship, relocation:

At Boston Scientific, we value collaboration and synergy. This role follows a hybrid work model requiring employees to be in our local office at least three days per week. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams and the internal complaints team to improve product investigations and reduce complaint rates for Urology products
  • Providing technical guidance in identifying and resolving quality issues using engineering principles and problem-solving tools
  • Driving increased team utilization of investigative equipment and methods
  • Partnering cross-functionally to develop and execute streamlined, robust CIS process improvements that meet regulatory and organizational requirements
  • Championing continuous improvement initiatives within local and global Post Market teams
  • Fostering a diverse and inclusive work environment that empowers all team members to contribute meaningfully
  • Demonstrating a primary commitment to patient safety and product quality by maintaining compliance with the Quality Policy and all documented processes and procedures

 

What we're looking for in you:

Required qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a scientific discipline
  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience in relevant Medical Device engineering or quality-related role

Preferred qualifications:

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, both technical and conversational
  • Effective decision-making and negotiation skills, both independently and in team settings
  • Experience managing multiple projects across different functional areas
  • Hands-on experience conducting root cause analysis for medical device investigations
  • Familiarity with software tools such as Complaint Management Software (ex. Trackwise), Product Lifecycle Management (PLM), SAP, and PowerBI.
  • Experience supporting internal or external audits
  • Quality certifications such as Lean Six Sigma Greenbelt, Certified Quality Engineer, or Certified Biomedical Auditor

Compensation will be commensurate with demonstrable level of experience and training, pertinent education including licensure and certifications, among other relevant business or organizational needs. Compensation for non-exempt (hourly), non-sales roles may also include variable compensation from time to time (e.g., any overtime and shift differential) and annual bonus target (subject to plan eligibility and other requirements).
