Senior Analyst, Commercial Strategy & Excellence


About the role:

We are seeking a highly motivated, take-charge individual with a strong work ethic to join our Commercial Strategy & Excellence team. In this position, you will be a key contributor in a high visibility, cross-functional role focused on improving Boston Scientific Endoscopy’s portfolio analytics. Responsibilities include portfolio investment scenario analysis and planning, predictive analytics using Monte Carlo simulations and other analytical tools, assessments of portfolio health and balance, and communication of the results with the senior leadership team. Additional responsibilities include analytical and reporting needs, forecasting, contract operations, pricing strategy and process improvements. Boston Scientific MedSurg is dedicated to transforming the lives of patients by advancing the diagnosis and treatment of a broad range of gastrointestinal and urological conditions with innovative, minimally invasive devices.


Your responsibilities will include:

  • Partner directly with our cross functional Portfolio Core Team on portfolio planning and analytics, including Monte Carlo simulations and other analytical approaches, creating dashboards and prioritization tools, and creating presentations to illustrate portfolio scenarios, impact and future investment.
  • Develop dashboards and detailed reporting on portfolio metrics to assess health and balance
  • Work with franchise leadership teams to support portfolio analysis and recommendations on tradeoffs between projects and ensure consistency in assumptions across businesses
  • Provide effective support for business partners team by responding to all requests in a timely, accurate and efficient manner
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams
  • Identify and support implementation of best practices, processes and tools to ensure effective workflow, consistent process execution and unified approaches that maximizes execution, quality, effectiveness, efficiency and productivity.
  • Participate in all team functions and initiatives. Actively support a positive, collaborative team culture.
  • Foster a diverse workplace that enables all participants to contribute to their full potential in pursuit of organizational objectives.
  • Ad hoc support for various project teams to drive sales, improvements or cost savings.
  • Assist with training other Administrators and Analysts
  • Effectively and comfortably participate in meetings with Senior Management teams


What we’re looking for in you:

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • 2-5 years of experience in a sales or business support role
  • Demonstrated experience in portfolio analytics
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving and critical thinking skills, with attention to detail
  • Organization skills and the ability to handle work of a highly confidential nature 
  • Ability to work with large amounts of data to analyze information
  • Demonstrated ability to balance multiple priorities against strict deadlines while maintaining a high degree of accuracy, attention to detail, and customer service 
  • Advanced PC application skills: MS Office Suite, Tableau, Salesforce and SQL a plus
  • Desire to work in a high paced collaborative, teamwork-oriented environment  
  • Excellent interpersonal, oral and written communication skills
