About the role:

 

Boston Scientific is seeking a Senior Data Strategy Manager to spearhead our data strategy initiatives, focusing on activation. 

 

Leading Product Information Management (PIM) efforts, you will ensure unified product information delivery across all channels. Collaborating with marketing teams, you'll optimize segmentation techniques for personalized campaigns, enriching customer experiences and fostering stronger relationships. Additionally, as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) in customer data infrastructure, you'll champion a 1st party data strategy. Your expertise will streamline data onboarding, driving effective marketing activation. Collaboration across teams ensures seamless integration of innovative solutions aligned with business goals.
 


Your responsibilities will include:

  • Drive the business case and advancement strategy for prioritizing products, utilizing PIM technology to activate, automate, and ensure consistency across downstream platforms.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact (POC) for business units, facilitating the distribution of relevant product information to drive a scalable omnichannel customer experience across regions.
  • Lead activation, change management, and adoption of the PIM (Product Information Management) system to enhance efficiency, consistency, and delivery of product information to customers.
  • Establish expertise as Subject Matter Expert (SME) on our customer data infrastructure, contributing to defining and prioritizing the value of onboarding various data sources for marketing activation.
  • Champion the development and dissemination of a 1st party data strategy, emphasizing its importance for organizational advancement and improving communication with customers across preferred channels.
  • Define processes for marketers to create audiences and segments, emphasizing self-service, automation, and scalability.
  • Collaborate in defining processes, business requirements, and change management to activate customer segments across downstream channels, ensuring personalized marketing experiences reach intended audiences seamlessly.
  • Collaborate with Marketing, Merchandising, Personalization, and Digital Product teams to orchestrate a seamless and integrated customer experience.
  • Manage multiple projects concurrently across Business Units (BUs) and product teams, maintaining precision and adherence to deadlines.
  • Present and communicate strategy to senior leadership effectively, utilizing both verbal and presentation formats.
  • Translate strategic objectives from senior leadership into actionable plans, offering insightful recommendations to align with the organization's overarching goals.
  • Develop and disseminate consistent, impactful progress reports and communication on project impact.
  • Drive business requirements focused on innovative solutions aligned with business goals, staying abreast of market trends and new capabilities.
  • Partner with product and technical teams as a Subject Matter Expert (SME), effectively communicating requirements for development when necessary.
  • Utilize analytics and customer feedback to make data-driven decisions that enhance the digital product customer experience.
  • Implement key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure and report on the success of digital customer experience initiatives.
  • Deliver value stories and provide training to internal teams, fostering a customer-centric mindset and adherence to best practices in digital customer experience.
  • Cultivate a culture of continuous improvement, encouraging teams to offer feedback and actively seek collaboration opportunities.

 

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Information Systems, or a related field.
  • 10+ years of experience in digital marketing.
  • Proficient understanding of marketing technology tools, including Product Information Management (PIM) and Customer Data Platform (CDP).
  • Proven experience in defining and constructing marketing audiences and segments.
  • Knowledge of data management concepts, encompassing strategy, quality, and governance.
  • Exceptional problem-solving abilities and meticulous attention to detail.
  • Effective communication skills, capable of articulating complex technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
  • Demonstrated ability to work and collaborate seamlessly across diverse teams, ranging from technology and vendor resources to business users.
