About the role: 

The Senior Financial Analyst will support the three main areas of focus for the team:  month end close, financial forecast/planning, master data management.  The Senior Financial Analyst will be responsible for monitoring each process, ensuring data quality/accuracy within supported applications, as well as issue identification and resolution.  In addition, the individual will support the team in the transition of Oracle/Hyperion on-prem applications to the new Oracle EPM Cloud platform.

 

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Forecasting/Planning: Coordinate with IT FCPR team to ensure systems are ready/available to support the quarterly forecast, annual operating plan, and strategic plan cycles; closely monitor systems to ensure data quality/accuracy within and across all relevant applications; point of contact for issue identification and research, work closely with IT FCPR team to identify best resolution; perform testing, and facilitate successful implementation of enhancements/change requests
  • Month End Close:  Perform reconciliations across applications/platform; coordinate with the IT FCPR team to update/post recurring management adjustments; support the testing and issue resolution associated with Project Magellan (upgrade of ERP); point of contact for issue identification and resolution
  • Master Data Management: Support the monthly master data cycle: monitor monthly master data testing, helping to resolve discrepancies; validate master data extracts (DRM, SAP, SF) have been updated with all current month requests; assist FCPR IT in analyzing/resolving technical, functional changes (based on master data updates) and providing solutions and communications to impacted organizations; assist with acquisition/integration related master data requests
  • Migration of on-prem Oracle/Hyperion applications to the Cloud:  provide support across all on-going work efforts; assist with analysis, data validation, testing and training

 

 

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting or related field. MBA preferred.
  • 5+ years’ relevant business experience
  • Strong financial analysis, project management, prioritization, interpersonal, and communication skills
  • Must have highly developed customer relationship skills with strong business support
  • Strong attention to detail and data quality
  • Ability to multi-task, set priorities and adhere to deadlines in a fast-paced organization
  • Independent results driven and the ability to work in a team
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet deadlines
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint required.  Experience with Hyperion Essbase preferred.

The anticipated compensation listed above and the value of core and optional employee benefits offered by Boston Scientific (BSC) – see www.bscbenefitsconnect.com--will vary based on actual location of the position and other pertinent factors considered in determining actual compensation for the role. Compensation will be commensurate with demonstrable level of experience and training, pertinent education including licensure and certifications, among other relevant business or organizational needs. At BSC, it is not typical for an individual to be hired near the bottom or top of the anticipated salary range listed above.

 

Compensation for non-exempt (hourly), non-sales roles may also include variable compensation from time to time (e.g., any overtime and shift differential) and annual bonus target (subject to plan eligibility and other requirements).

 

Compensation for exempt, non-sales roles may also include variable compensation, i.e., annual bonus target and long-term incentives (subject to plan eligibility and other requirements).
