About the role:
The role of the Group Manager, Urology Strategy at Boston Scientific defines, leads and motivates the organization to answer key strategic questions critical for the success of the Urology division. This includes directing and completing strategic analyses at the franchise and divisional level, leading portfolio planning to support divisional growth and innovation, and managing a team focused on market research, competitive intelligence, and market trends.
The ideal candidate will display strong leadership and cross-functional influence, well-honed analytical skills, an in-depth understanding of the Urology market, and the ability to communicate complex information in a clear and actionable manner to senior leadership and cross-functional teams. They will be a proven self-starter with a high work ethic and growth mindset.
At Boston Scientific, we value collaboration and synergy. This role follows a hybrid work model requiring employees to be in our local office at least three days per week.

Your responsibilities will include:

Portfolio Leadership: Leads the annual, cross-functional portfolio process, defining program metrics, performing market analyses, and providing strategic support to the Portfolio Committee. This work directly influences the strategic direction of organic research and development.

Strategic Projects: Leads structured approach to answer market and business questions, synthesizing data to inform commercial decisions. Projects may include pricing strategy, customer segmentation, global launch prioritization, competitive scenario planning.

Market Research & Intelligence: Oversees and provides thought partnership to deliver market intelligence and customer insights to the division, informing business decisions and cross-functional prioritization. Collects, analyzes and synthesizes market trends.

Adjacent Market Assessments: Partners with business development, product marketing, and finance to evaluate growth opportunities and adjacent markets.

Team Leadership: Manages a team of market research and market intelligence professionals, setting clear direction and fostering individual development. Prioritizes work based on business criticality and team capacity.

Annual Strategic Planning Process: Provide team leadership and support during annual strategic and operating plan processes, including content development, data integration and thought partnership.
Required Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Business, Economics, Market Research, Marketing, Finance, Engineering, or related field.

A minimum of 10 years of experience in healthcare consulting, marketing, business development, or related fields.

Strong business acumen and proven ability to align market insights with strategic initiatives. Must have strong market modeling and financial skills with proven market analysis experience.

Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to flex across multiple communication styles and influence senior leadership.

Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with competing priorities.

Ability to work autonomously, independently prioritize tasks and make sounds decisions that align with organizational goals.

Ability to travel (<10%) for industry events, conferences, and meetings.

Compensation will be commensurate with demonstrable level of experience and training, pertinent education including licensure and certifications, among other relevant business or organizational needs.
