About the role:

Boston Scientific is seeking an experienced Senior IT Manager, Digital Commerce to lead the strategy, delivery and continuous improvement of our global SAP Commerce (Hybris) platform and digital commerce capabilities in support of our mission to advance science for life. This leader will guide both the technology roadmap and people management aspects of digital commerce, aligning IT capabilities with business objectives across our global, high-performance teams. Work model, sponsorship, relocation:

At Boston Scientific, we value collaboration and synergy. This role follows a hybrid work model requiring employees to be in our local office at least three days per week. Boston Scientific will not offer sponsorship or take over sponsorship of an employment visa for this position. 

 

Your responsibilities will include:

 

Leadership & strategy:

  • Develop and execute the IT strategy for the Digital Commerce capability
  • Partner with stakeholders in Commercial Services, Marketing, Sales, Customer Service, IT, and other business areas to define and deliver high-impact digital commerce initiatives
  • Serve as the primary technology leader for the SAP Commerce platform, ensuring scalability, performance, and security
  • Build and mentor a high-performing team of IT professionals, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and accountability
  • Manage vendor relationships and delivery partners to ensure quality and alignment with internal standards and timelines

 

Delivery & operations:

  • Oversee end-to-end solution delivery on the SAP Commerce platform, including integration with other enterprise systems such as SAP
  • Ensure reliable and efficient platform operations, including performance monitoring, release management, and incident resolution
  • Lead project governance, budget management, and resource planning to support business priorities
  • Drive continuous improvement by leveraging analytics and emerging technologies to enhance user experience and operational efficiency

 

Collaboration & stakeholder management:

  • Act as a trusted advisor to business leaders by translating business needs into technical solutions and roadmaps
  • Partner closely with Enterprise Architecture, Cybersecurity, and Data & Analytics teams to maintain alignment with corporate IT standards
  • Champion best practices in digital product development, agile delivery, and DevOps methodologies

 

Qualifications:

 

Required qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, engineering, computer science, or a related field
  • Minimum of 7 years' experience in IT, including at least 3 years in a leadership role managing technical delivery teams, people, and vendors
  • Demonstrated ability to assess product investment options, quantify trade-offs, and drive ROI-based decisions
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills, with the ability to influence and align stakeholders
  • Working knowledge of agile and DevOps practices in enterprise environments

 

Preferred qualifications:

  • Proven experience managing and delivering initiatives on the SAP Commerce (Hybris) platform
  • Solid understanding of digital commerce ecosystems, integration architectures, and user experience principles
  • Experience in a regulated or medical device/healthcare environment

The anticipated compensation listed above and the value of core and optional employee benefits offered by Boston Scientific (BSC) – see www.bscbenefitsconnect.com—will vary based on actual location of the position and other pertinent factors considered in determining actual compensation for the role. Compensation will be commensurate with demonstrable level of experience and training, pertinent education including licensure and certifications, among other relevant business or organizational needs. At BSC, it is not typical for an individual to be hired near the bottom or top of the anticipated salary range listed above.

 

Compensation for non-exempt (hourly), non-sales roles may also include variable compensation from time to time (e.g., any overtime and shift differential) and annual bonus target (subject to plan eligibility and other requirements).

 

Compensation for exempt, non-sales roles may also include variable compensation, i.e., annual bonus target and long-term incentives (subject to plan eligibility and other requirements).
