About the role: 

The Senior Manager, Endoscopy Accounting is a critical member of the Global Endoscopy Finance team.  This role engages with key divisional business partners, Corporate Accounting, & GBS developing end-to-end roadmaps for complex divisional accounting, including but not limited to: BD & Integration Accounting, AR & Bad Debt Reserve initiatives, Pricing programs, Revenue Recognition, Balance Sheet accounting and reconciliation, technical accounting research, and controls compliance.  This position will have frequent interaction with the Corporate Accounting & Consolidation, FP&A, Tax, Treasury, key Division stakeholders, and Regional Finance teams. This role is highly visible to senior leadership, including Endoscopy Leadership Team.  

 

Your responsibilities include: 

  • Oversee Endo Finance compliance with company policies and procedures and external rules and regulations, including all components of Section 404 Sarbanes Oxley Act.
  • Oversee the accounting close processes for Endoscopy, including review of journal entries and reconciliations, ensuring accuracy and adherence to the Company’s internal control processes.  
  • Stay current on new accounting guidance issued by Corporate Accounting and present findings and impact to Endoscopy Finance team and Senior Leadership. 
  • Prepares monthly revenue recognition entries and reconciliations and supports the Revenue FP&A Analyst in development of the quarterly revenue forecast.
  • Supports the capital equipment sales process in conjunction with Commercial Operations, Sales Operations and the Global Business Services group.
  • Provide technical accounting guidance to Divisional Sales Ops, Selling, Finance teams for significant and complex transactions such as new commercial sales programs, leasing, and acquisition integration and restructuring programs. 
  • Lead the implementation process of new accounting standards by collaborating with key stakeholders, educating the business, and working closely with our external auditors.  
  • Ensure Division’s accounting policies are up to date and assist the business in interpreting and applying such policies; assist with policy alignment as part of integration of acquired companies. 
  • Share best practices and seek to continually improve processes; take initiative in business partnering activities.
  • Lead or participate in special projects as needed.

 

What we're looking for: 
Required Qualifications

  • BS in Accounting, 
  • 10+ years of relevant accounting experience, through combination of Big Four and/or industry
  • Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP and SOX 404 
  • Strong understanding of internal control processes, accounting practices, audit and assurance
  • Problem-solving skills and the ability to interpret and apply technical accounting and/or regulatory reporting guidance

 

Preferred Qualifications: 

  • CPA 
  • Strong attention to detail & data accuracy, while understanding the “big picture”
  • Outstanding organization, process and time management skills, including ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
  • Outstanding verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to build relationships and influence with key stakeholders
  • Experience creating inclusive environment and supporting DE&I
