About the role:


Magellan is a global business transformation program accompanying a move of our ERP system from ECC to S4 HANA. Magellan’s goal is to simplify, standardize and modernize our core business processes, enabling BSC to better leverage the power of data and to position our business for profitable and sustainable growth.


This role is specifically supporting our transformation in the Capital Equipment space where enhanced S4 capabilities will improve capital equipment lifecycle processes including supply chain management, commercial execution, customer order fulfilment, service management, fixed asset management, and financial reporting. 


As the Manager II of Program Management – Magellan (local title, Senior Manager, Delivery Excellence Magellan), you will play a key role in ensuring the successful Delivery of this part of the Business Transformation project across all functions, divisions, and regions of the Company. This is a critical and strategic role, reporting to the Director of Delivery Excellence - Magellan. Collaborating with and across Magellan Workstreams, Process Owners, Community of Practices and Stakeholders across the network is a critical success factor for this position. The Program will last for approximately 4-6 years and the role will entail planning and execution cross-functionally with Magellan teams for activities in the following phases: Project Scope/Mobilization, Requirements, Design, Build and Testing, Deployment to post Go Live sustaining.


This role will be key to executing and delivering multiple deployments across global Commercial regions and Manufacturing locations, ensuring the related global functions that need to be involved in this and future releases are proactively informed and involved.  

 

You will be part of a dedicated team responsible for developing the processes to support the execution of this critical and highly complex transformation project.  The individual in this role will have the opportunity to shape the strategic direction of our capital equipment capability and have high visibility to senior leadership. We are seeking a change leader who is motivated to continuously optimize this cross-functional process and the way we engage the business to drive readiness, leveraging agile and lean design thinking and project management best practices. 


Your responsibilities will include: 

 

  • Take shared responsibility and accountability for the successful planning and execution of the global program relating to the transformation in the Capital Equipment space.  
  • Program Governance – shared responsibility for effective governance across the program which may include:
  • Support Capital Equipment Steering Committee agenda and material preparation.
  • Support functional reporting and risk management activities specific to Capital Equipment through RAID.
  • Represent cross-functional team performance in Execution and Deployment Governance meetings.
  • Schedule Creation and Management, including resource capacity planning as necessary within assigned teams.
  • Value Realization for Capital Equipment – identify transformational opportunities to be delivered by the program for tracking via BSC VIP
  • Program and Team Risk Management related to Capital Equipment – identify potential project risks and define appropriate actions to mitigate, escalating to program leadership where appropriate.
  • Program / Team Metrics – support program oversight of individual team performance as well as End-to-End process performance and drive a culture of accountability across the program.

 

What we are looking for: 

 

Required Qualifications: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Quality, Engineering, Science or applicable field 
  • 7+ years technical professional or operational experience in medical device field.
  • 7+ years of PMO experience.
  • Previous leadership experience across the BSC network or the management of large change programs, ideally technology or systems environment.
  • Working knowledge of ERP systems and the broader Application Ecosystem, combined with knowledge of key business processes.
