The Role:

The Senior Manager is a highly visible role with a significant contribution in driving Company’s global provision process and policies.


Key responsibilities include:

•             Interpreting, executing, and recommending additions/modifications to Corporate Tax accounting policies.

•             Planning, budgeting and managing the execution of the quarterly and annual worldwide tax provision process in accordance with ASC 740, including related financial reporting matters

•             Provides guidance to the tax accounting team and the whole tax organization regarding the tax provision process. Reviews completed work for adequacy of results ensuring that they are free of any significant deficiencies.

•             Review of Company’s tax disclosures in all SEC filings, especially within Form 10-Q and 10-K filings, ensuring adequacy

•             Establishing and maintaining appropriate Corporate Tax controllership policies for tax accounting and other internal tax compliance processes, in accordance with Sarbanes – Oxley 404

•             Review worldwide monthly tax account reconciliation

•             Partner effectively with various groups within the tax department, finance and accounting, legal and other teams to ensure execution of the overall tax provision process

•             Establish plans in conjunction with our external auditors to ensure timely review of the tax provision and execute against the plans to minimize disagreement

•             Liaison and educate foreign financial controllership in meeting the U.S. GAAP tax reporting and tax compliance responsibilities

•             Keep abreast of changes in tax statutes, regulations, US GAAP Principles and determine the tax accounting impact on the company’s effective tax rate.

•             Provide in house trainings on various tax accounting topics to other members of Corporate Tax, local controllers, and other functions of the finance organization

•             Participate in BSC’s continuous improvement initiative by identifying and implementing process improvements related to the tax accounting and provision function

•             Participate in special projects

•             Mentor and train staff


What we’re looking for:

Minimal qualifications:

•             Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field.

•             7+ years of progressive experience with strong exposure in ASC 740 in a public accounting firm or equivalent experience in a multinational corporate setting

•             Ability to communicate/present issues in a clear and effective manner across all levels of the company including external auditors

•             Strong analytical skill, attention to detail and self-motivator

•             Strong organizational and interpersonal skills

•             Excellent written and verbal communication skills

•             Experience in OneSource Tax Provision Software, SAP, HFM, Microsoft office

Preferred qualifications:

•             CPA and MST
