We are seeking a Senior Marketing Director to lead the Prosthetic Urology commercial marketing franchises and oversee the urology field marketing teams. Reporting to the Group Vice President of Urology, this leadership role is responsible for developing global product marketing strategies, driving high-performing teams, and ensuring a world-class customer and patient experience. This leader will shape product lifecycle strategies that drive sustained global growth while fostering marketing excellence across the franchise. This hybrid role offers the opportunity to work three days onsite at either our Marlborough, MA, or Minnetonka or Maple Grove, MN office locations.

Key Responsibilities:
- Lead all aspects of Prosthetic Urology marketing and serve as a key member of the cross-functional franchise leadership team.
- Oversee Urology’s field marketing team, ensuring alignment with broader franchise and organizational objectives.
- Develop and execute multi-year, integrated commercial plans for the Prosthetic Urology franchise, ensuring alignment with franchise, Urology division, and corporate Strategic Plans, as well as the U.S. Annual Operating Plan (AOP).
- Drive the execution of commercial plans to achieve franchise revenue, profitability, and budget objectives.
- Attract, develop, and lead direct reports, including group marketing managers, the associate field marketing director, and field marketing managers. Foster diverse and inclusive teams that embody Boston Scientific’s core values.
- Coach and mentor organizational talent by creating opportunities for professional growth and skill development, offering appropriate rewards and recognition. Develop succession plans and long-term organizational strategies.
- Set inspirational goals and accountabilities for the marketing team. Formulate and execute annual and long-range global franchise marketing plans that deliver revenue targets, marketing objectives, and program KPIs. Ensure visibility into marketing impact through success measures and metrics.
- Oversee global marketing execution for the franchise to ensure achievement of sales revenue, product development, commercialization, and market development goals. Make operational decisions with a strategic perspective.
- Coordinate strategies, action plans, and communication across regions and marketing stakeholders to optimize impact and deliver on targets.
- Continuously assess the global Prosthetic Urology market and competitive dynamics. Leverage insights to develop actionable plans that address barriers and seize opportunities.
- Advocate for the voice of the customer and business by translating insights into actionable requirements. Inform product lifecycle management, growth strategies, sustaining efforts, new product portfolios, and new business development decisions. Prioritize market opportunities and allocate resources effectively (e.g., budget, people, processes).
- Influence and leverage internal and external relationships to achieve franchise goals. Communicate business needs and opportunities clearly while negotiating necessary resources with functional and senior management.
- Remove organizational barriers and drive decision-making by leveraging matrix relationships and capabilities across senior management, Sales, R&D, Operations, Clinical/Regulatory, Regional Marketing, Corporate Marketing, and other teams.
- Build and nurture industry relationships with key physicians, customers, government entities, societies, company partners, and other stakeholders to advance franchise and divisional goals. Guide team members in building and maintaining these relationships.
- Serve as a resource and subject matter expert to senior management, providing insights and strategic direction.
- Inspire adoption of Next Level Marketing’s mission and core behaviors, providing motivation and leadership to meet growth aspirations and customer needs.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree and a minimum of 10 years of professional experience.
- 5+ years of experience in complex commercial program management or team leadership within the medical technology, pharmaceutical, or biotechnology industries.
- Proven success in global marketing, product launches, and managing commercial teams across multiple geographic regions.
- Comprehensive understanding of all aspects of marketing, including marketing strategy, the commercial sales process, and operations.
- Exceptional interpersonal and influencing skills with the ability to build relationships and alignment across multiple organizational levels and global stakeholders.
- Self-motivated and action-oriented professional with a demonstrated ability to drive results.
- Proven success in leading cross-functional teams to develop plans and tools that maximize sales potential.
- Ability to travel up to 40% domestically and internationally.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Master of Business Administration (MBA) or equivalent advanced degree.
- Experience working in a global, matrixed organization, with demonstrated success in collaboration and driving results across functions.
- Customer-first mindset with the ability to align commercial strategies to meet customer needs.
