This role has the flexiblity to be a Senior Marketing Strategy and Anlysis Manager or a Principal Marketing Strategy and Analysis Manager

 

About the role:

The Senior Marketing Strategy & Analysis Manager is responsible for partnering with franchise teams to develop high-impact marketing strategies. S/he will rapidly become an expert on the Urology and Pelvic Health market, identifying market trends and growth opportunities, diagnosing customer needs and behaviors, predicting likely competitive dynamics, and analyzing the economics of the business. As part of these responsibilities, s/he will identify strategic opportunities to drive the business and maximize competitive advantage. Additionally, s/he will be the primary contact point with internal stakeholders to define project objectives and will have wide latitude in determining appropriate research and analysis methodologies. This is an opportunity to shape the future of the business and influence key decisions by providing a strong fact base and recommendations to our leadership teams. S/he will have the opportunity to foster high-impact relationships with business partners across the organization, perform creative analytics and research to develop compelling strategic recommendations, and provide direction to multiple initiatives.

 

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Execution of complex market and product opportunity assessments, strategy formulation and valuation for: New products developed in-house; Potential acquisitions; Growth opportunities/performance improvement strategies for existing franchises and adjacencies.
  • Strong relationship development/collaboration with line marketing personnel, as well regular impact with other cross functional stakeholders.
  • Leadership and implementation of structured, practical, fact-based approach to strategy development, valuation, and business plans.
  • Integration of broad corporate/divisional business performance needs into franchise level decision-making.
  • Collaboration with marketing and sales to ensure tactics are clearly linked to strategy, and creatively developed with overall strategy in-mind.
  • Excellent project management.
  • Scoping, development, execution, and communication of market research.
  • Helping to build strong marketing science competency within the franchises.
  • Managing Marketing Science Sr. Managers, Managers and Analysts on a project-by-project basis and formally mentoring less experienced colleagues.
  • Integrating marketing best practices into work with franchise teams and supporting Marketing Excellence initiatives in the organization.
  • Ensuring day-to-day marketing science activities effectively support strategic choice development and revenue objectives.
  • Implementing marketing strategy processes and sharing knowledge about those processes.
  • Working with franchise teams to identify and implement optimal research support processes.

 

What we’re looking for in you:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Engineering or Healthcare/Biomedical required. MBA or other advanced degree preferred
  • Minimum 5-7+ years’ experience in consulting, market research, business strategy/analytics or product marketing experience in the healthcare field required.
  • Must have primary market research experience which includes strong analytical and quantitative skills.  Experience with secondary research a plus.
  • Experience managing cross-functional projects in the healthcare industry required
  • Outstanding interpersonal skills including developing relationships in all levels of the organization and indirectly influencing business objectives
