About this role:
The Stone Senior Medical Affairs Specialist is a partner with the business and scientific stakeholders (including Clinical, Marketing, Regulatory, R&D, Pre-Clinical, Legal, and other groups) to provide context on Stone disease and unmet evidence needs. They are responsible for contributing to and overseeing the evidence plan for Stone-related PDPs. This position has global responsibility and leverages Boston Scientific Clinical/Pre-Clinical/R&D/contract resources to implement studies in compliance with local laws and regulatory requirements/standards.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Be familiar with current literature regarding Stone disease and treatment, including BSC’s Stone product lines and market competitors.
- Understand data gaps in the literature and develop scientific strategies to close gaps that are considered keys to the success of the Stone business.
- Facilitate understanding of the therapeutic area and enable performance comparisons for emerging technologies.
- Foster relationships with key opinion leaders through voice of customer initiatives and collaborative research partnerships.
- Communicate evidence value proposition with succinct, data-driven messaging; support corporate decision making across various functions and levels of the organization.
What we're looking for in you:
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Biomedical Engineering, Biology, or other scientific field
- 5-7 yrs relevant medical device including NPD
- Experience writing research protocols for bench, preclinical, and/or clinical studies
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Ability to travel 30%
Preferred Qualifications
- Advanced Degree (MS, MPH, ME, PhD)
- Proven success engaging with KOLs
- Understanding of European and US regulatory directives and regulations
