About the role:

This role is responsible for the creation and execution of certain downstream commercial activities that support SpaceOAR Hydrogel, an innovate, high-growth technology withing Boston Scientific’s Urology and Pelvic Health business. 

 

Your responsibilities will include:

The Product Manager I, Prostate Cancer role is expected to contribute to the development and subsequent execution of a variety of commercial programs that are tailored toward the Urologists and Radiation Oncologists who utilize SpaceOAR Hydrogel, as well as the BSC sales team responsible for supporting the technology.  More specifically, the role will be focused on developing commercial programs that will amplify the clinical, economic and technical benefits of SpaceOAR, with the goal of solidifying the product as the standard of care for patients undergoing prostate radiotherapy. 

The role will require strong cross-functional collaboration with a variety of stakeholders, including but not limited to Sales, Integrated Communications, Patient Marketing, Digital Marketing, Regulatory and Clinical.  In addition, the role will require that the candidate works directly with Health Care Providers to develop, test, pilot and implement commercial programs.   Finally, the role will require a history of learned clinical acumen, as the rapid acquisition of clinical expertise will enable deep and meaningful interactions with health care professionals. 

   

In this role you will:

  • Partner with cross-functional team members to develop commercial programs centered around “Thought Leadership” with key clinicians focused on prostate radiotherapy.
  • Optimize internally and externally focused web content to maximize digital experience.
  • Create, manage and execute commercial programs tied to major industry meetings, including booth design, symposia and hands-on support, and advertising/branding opportunities.
  • Collaborate with Patient Marketing to identify and leverage synergies across physician-centric and patient-centric commercial messages and programs.    
  • Lead cross-functional effort between Marketing, Regulatory, Clinical, Legal and R&D to evolve the specific language used within promotional materials.    
  • Work with key stakeholders in Integrated Communications and Upstream Marketing to develop a commercialization strategy for a potential product launch in late 2021. 
  • Partner with key commercial leaders (Senior Sales Leadership team, Directors of National Accounts, Medical Education, Sales Training, etc.) to understand key market insights that will drive the business.    

 

What we’re looking for in you:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business or healthcare-related field required; MBA preferred
  • 4-6 years in consulting, product or strategic marketing, or selling experience in the healthcare field required
  • Outstanding interpersonal skills including developing relationships at all levels in an organization (both internal and external), along with direct and indirect influencing to drive business objectives 
  • Strong relationship development/collaboration with a broad set of stakeholders, including: external customers, marketing, sales, health economics & market access, regions, finance, etc.
  • Strong analytical, quantitative, financial modeling, and strategic thinking skills
  • Ability to collaborate and execute work in a digital environment (Microsoft Teams, ZOOM) in addition to in-person participation
  • Development and execution of structured approaches to solve unstructured problems
  • Creation of compelling presentations and effective communication of recommendations
  • Experience utilizing a broad range of primary & secondary research techniques (both qualitative & quantitative) and an ability to synthesize & uncover customer insights and unmet needs
  • Excellent project management/execution and organizational skills
  • Travel (40%); US (primary) and Global
