About the role:
As Senior Manager, you will drive our global transfer pricing strategy in close collaboration with senior tax leadership. You’ll design and implement solutions that align with business objectives, ensure compliance, and manage risk. By monitoring evolving tax laws, you’ll adapt our procedures to maintain best practices. Key responsibilities:
- Provides expert guidance on transfer pricing matters to various stakeholders in support of business changes and integration plans, ensuring transfer pricing issues are considered as business operations or structure changes.
- Serves as a key participant in ERP implementation projects, ensuring that transfer pricing requirements are fully integrated into system design and workflows. Partners with IT and cross-functional teams to identify, document, and validate transfer pricing data flows, reporting capabilities, and compliance controls within the ERP environment to support accurate and efficient global transfer pricing operations.
- Proactively seeks opportunities to improve the tax efficiency of existing business arrangements and reduce risks wherever possible through the utilization of APAs, etc.
- Monitors and analyzes proposed and enacted tax legislation impacting transfer pricing positions and modifies procedures accordingly. Manages and communicates risks related to the OECD’s BEPS future action items and other technical developments impacting transfer pricing.
- Leads efforts to continuously improve operational transfer pricing efforts including the implementation of new technology for transfer pricing monitoring and modelling.
- Directs junior team members in performing operational transfer pricing activities, including conducting recurring transfer pricing analyses and ensuring global compliance. Reviews completed work for adequacy of results ensuring and alignment with management expectations.
- Collaborates with tax and finance team members in managing transfer pricing audits and controversy to defend company positions.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Taxation, Accounting or Economics; Master’s Degree preferred
- 10+ years of related work experience within a U.S. based multinational corporate tax department or public accounting environment with significant transfer pricing experience.
- Strong knowledge of OECD guidelines, U.S. and international transfer pricing rules, and BEPS-related developments.
- Broad working knowledge of U.S. federal, state and international tax matters as well as US Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
- Proven ability to operate in a dynamic, deadline driven environment
- Enthusiasm for building relationships cross functionally and collaborating as a member of a high performing team
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills and project management skills
- Experience working with Microsoft 365 tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.) and preference for exposure to at least one major commercial ERP system (SAP, Oracle, etc.)
