About the role:

As a Software Developer specializing in Conversational Interfaces & Intelligent Automation, you’ll play a crucial role in enhancing Boston Scientific’s HR services through innovative technology solutions. As a member of the HR Intelligent Automation CoE you’ll collaborate with various HR stakeholders, design conversational interfaces, leverage emerging technologies, and create efficient virtual agents and automated workflows.

 

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Collaborate with HR stakeholders to identify and define use cases for chatbots and virtual agents.
  • Understand business requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
  • Design, develop, and implement conversational interfaces and intelligent automation solutions.
  • Utilize platforms such as ServiceNow, Automation Anywhere, and Moveworks for creating chatbots, virtual agents, and automated workflows.
  • Stay abreast of emerging technologies within natural language processing (NLP), large language models, general and generative AI, and machine learning.
  • Take end-to-end ownership of the technical solutions you build ensuring their reliability, scalability, and adherence to best practices.
  • Teach and guide other automation developers in leveraging virtual agents and chatbots effectively.
  • Leads organizational readiness and training to facilitate adoption of emerging technologies

 

Required qualifications:

  • Hands-on experience in designing and implementing conversational interfaces, chatbots, and virtual agents.
  • Knowledge of natural language processing/understanding (NLP/NLU) techniques and Large language models (LLM).
  • A Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information systems, or a related field. Or 4 years of work experience in intelligent automation development
  • Expertise in workflow-based logic, the ability to understand and document a business process, design a technical solution, and develop the solution using various technologies.
  • Background in troubleshooting/problem solving techniques and tools

Preferred qualifications:

  • Proficiency in ServiceNow platform development, including custom applications, workflows, and Virtual Agents.
  • Familiarity with ServiceNow’s large language model capabilities and natural language understanding (NLU workbench)
  • Experience with a leading intelligent automation platform (Preferred: Automation Anywhere, UiPath) for creating intelligent automation solutions.
  • Experience working with distributed scrum teams, and agile methodology/principles.
  • Experience with Human Resource operations and processes.
  • Ability to influence across a complex work environment including global processes.
