About the role:

Through planning and execution of Boston Scientific community events and initiatives, this role will engage employees with opportunities to volunteer and support non-profit partners,  as well as raise awarness to causes important to Boston Scientific and local communities.  In addition, by identifying and working with local organizations focused on closing health disparities, this role will support their efforts to raise awareness and prevent chronic disease, increase access to quality healthcare and prepare children for a healthy journey into adulthood. Helping to lead the Massachussets Employee Community Team in the assessment of Boston Scientific Foundation grant requests and recommending support  of local grants to the Boston Scientific Foundation Board will enable the Foundation to make strong community investments. Through these initiatives, this role will engage and empower employees to make a difference in their community, build strong relationships and partnerships within and outside of Boston Scientific, and represent Boston Scientific's brand and values. This role will require strong interpersonal, project management and communications skills which will help establish Boston Scientific as a recognized, positive force making a difference in the community and contribute towards building a positive company culture, reputation and strong brand for Boston Scientific.

 

Your responsibilities include: 

  • Identifying and executing philanthropic community program strategies, tactics and budgets that provide measureable value to Boston Scientific and the community.
  • Nurturing existing and cultivating new collaborative business and nonprofit relationships that strengthen our communities and enhance Boston Scientific’s reputation as an excellent corporate citizen, representing BSC in the local community.
  • Engaging employees in community outreach opportunities to maximize community effort and Boston Scientific visibility, ensuring alignment with Boston Scientific business objectives.
  • Administering and overseeing  grant review and charitable contributions process, ensuring compliance to BSC policies and mitigating risk.
  • Developing and executing a multi-channel communications strategy that targets both internal and external audiences, ensures alignment with the corporate brand and works toward a shared value for the community and Boston Scientific.

 

What we're looking for: 
Basic Qualifications

  • 2-3 years of experience in communications or community relations role
  • Bachelors Degree
  • Experience with social media and online communications
