Purpose

The Senior Business Systems Analyst will support the IT Revenue Management function partnering with the Business Strategy & Systems Development Group and the BSC business divisions to understand business priorities, and apply agile and lean concepts in the delivery of revenue management solutions that will bring increased value, capabilities and a competitive advantage to our business. This role will be primarily focused on supporting the BSC Model N Revenue Cloud solution and is responsible for configuring the system to meet company needs. This resource will be a systems expert and will be responsible for sustaining activities.  They will be responsible for working with global project team to understand the business requirements and then configure them in our software systems.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Implement solutions for requirements across the Model N solution. Provides technical assessment for project requests submitted by customers. Recommends how Model N can be best changed, designed and/or configured to meet customer needs.
  • Undertake lead technical/BA/test responsibilities in both patch deployment and major system upgrade activities such as evaluating/upgrading customization code and ensuing base package deployment is deployed providing seamless operation upon go-live.
  • Work closely with all site and global resources to define and execute requested changes to existing configurations.
  • Contribute to detailed analysis and documentation of processes with emphasis on information flow.
  • Work with team members to translate process analysis into a detailed model configuration.
  • Contribute to site and global system testing activities, with ownership of new functionality validation; actively participate in unit, system, and user acceptance testing of new and enhanced system functionality
  • Gain an in-depth working knowledge of the application and touch points with other site and enterprise level systems.
  • Define and support integration design and development; coordinate with technical leads of related interfaces, in alignment with enterprise architecture guidance.
  • Provide tier 2/3 support to existing implementations.
  • Responsible to maintain rigorous change control via the system.

 

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree required
  • A minimum of 7+ years of experience in IT and partnering with business stakeholders
  • Hands on experience on a Model N implementation (or similar pricing and contracting application), with strong understanding and experience in implementing various Revenue Management functional areas: Contract Management, Rebates, Pricing, Compliance, Intelligence, Provider Management, Strategy Designer, etc.
  • Knowledge of life Sciences Revenue Management business processes, integration flows and configuration set-ups
  • Well versed in the construction of reports, interfaces, data conversions, and customization or extensions to the Model N Revenue Management suite of applications
  • Proven experience developing and maintaining a strong relationship with IT partners, and software vendors
  • Understanding of the software development lifecycle and methodologies
  • Self-starter with strong, proactive work ethic and fast learner
  • Proven ability to effectively manage multiple priorities
  • Excellent problem solving and analytical skills
  • Strong written and verbal communication, with the ability to effectively communicate with executive leadership
  • Must adapt to rapidly changing technologies

 

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with Contracting/Revenue Management processes and systems
  • Experience in working with SCRUM methodology
  • Understanding of SOX and other Management Controls
  • Proven ability to deliver IT solutions in a regulated environment
  • Strong functional knowledge of Life Sciences Market as a functional domain
  • Hands on experience with Looker and Cognos reporting capabilities
  • Should have excellent understanding of EDI processing
  • Strong technical knowledge on Oracle SQL, PL/SQL & Unix Shell Scripting
