About the role

The primary responsibility of this IT Senior Manager role is to lead the Enterprise Integrations & Data Hub (Hadoop) teams to bring increased value, capabilities and competitive advantage to our business partners. This leader must be a balanced thinker that weighs technical, business, financial and operational perspectives. This exciting, multi-dimensional role enjoys a variety of responsibilities from running large platform upgrade projects and shaping “platform as a product” teams to overseeing our transformation to DevOps/Agile and managing the delivery of hundreds of smaller but mission critical projects. 

 

Your responsibilities

  • Works collaboratively, effectively, and efficiently with stakeholders to ensure alignment and prioritization of goals and resources across multiple stakeholders, project priorities, and organizational initiatives.
  • Ensures deliverables meet or exceed service-level expectations for quality, timeliness, performance and budget.
  • Partner with IT leaders to understand the strategic direction, implement tactical changes that drive towards that vision, and provide regular updates to IT and business executives.
  • Responsible for staffing and developing Platform as a Product teams comprised of architects, designers/analysts, and developers. Devotes a significant portion of time to managerial, leadership and employee development responsibilities.
  • Identifies and implements process/technical improvement ideas quarterly. Meets/exceeds annual Value Improvement Program savings targets.
  • Develops and manages all financials including budgets, cost center, accruals, etc.
  • Manages relationships with software vendors, negotiates contracts, and manages contract lifecycle.

 

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree required.
  • A minimum of 10+ years of technical and management experience leading multiple technical departments and complex, concurrent IT projects.
  • Demonstrated experience with at least 3 of the following: EAI, ETL, Cloudera/Hadoop, Large Scale Process Improvement/Change Management, 1+M Platform Upgrades  
  • Self-starter with strong, proactive work ethic and fast learner
  • Proven ability to effectively manage multiple competing IT priorities in a fast paced, regulated environment
  • Strong project management, operations, and people management experience
  • Proven experience developing and maintaining a strong relationship with internal stakeholders, IT partners and software vendors
  • Excellent problem solving and analytical skills
  • Strong written and verbal communication, with the ability to effectively communicate with executive leadership

 

Preferred Qualifications

  • Advanced degree (MBA)
  • Experience with Hadoop/Big Data and AWS
  • Experience in managing Product Teams and SCRUM methodologies
  • Significant experience leading large platform upgrade projects
