Purpose Statement  
COVID-19 has changed the way Healthcare Professionals provide necessary care and how Consumers are managing their health. As a result, Boston Scientific is shifting to a “customer experience/customer-centric” model where Healthcare Professionals and Consumers can access personalized information where and when they need it. The crucial sales representative point of contact with Healthcare Professionals, now augmented with additional content, resources, and tools must be seamlessly coordinated across all channels to best address evolving needs…ultimately improving patient outcomes. 

The Sr. Manager, Digital & Data Capabilities - Strategy & Operations will be responsible for defining a data and marketing technology roadmap to deliver an insights-driven, orchestrated omnichannel experience for our customers. She/he will partner with Omnichannel Strategy, Marketing Technology, and Analytics/Data teams to incubate and scale next-gen, integrated capabilities for our global marketing and field teams. Key Responsibilities  

  • Collaborate with omnichannel strategy teams to build a multi-year capability plan and corresponding roadmaps based on internal user, patient, and healthcare provider digital content and experience needs 
  • Translate omnichannel capability requirements to tangible use cases and epic-level requirements for supporting platform teams to develop integrated solutions 
  • Lead prioritization of “portfolio” capabilities and associated investments based on impact, effort, cost, and ultimately value to customer and shareholder 
  • Measure impact of efforts and tell comprehensive “value story” to multiple stakeholder levels 
  • Coordinate strategic planning and annual operating plan efforts for capability hubs 
  • Manage team budget planning, tracking and optimization across complex initiatives 
  • Serve as liaison between capabilities teams and legal teams to ensure compliance with data privacy and other laws 
  • Identify necessary 'building blocks' (eg. Master Data, Process Framework, People Capabilities) for the organization to be put in place. 
  • Lead cost/benefit analysis assessments for various technology options. Identify, select, and partner with external suppliers to enhance BSC’s digital capabilities. 


Minimum Qualifications 

  • Minimum of 10+ years of experience within digital marketing, data and marketing capabilities space in healthcare, digital agency and/or management consultant company; medtech or pharma experience preferred 
  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills, both written and verbal. Able to translate abstract concepts and large amounts of information into clear and concise messaging. Strong PowerPoint skills. 
  • Relevant experience in scoping and executing cross-functional initiatives in matrixed organizations, collaborating with regional and functional partners, with the ability to manage multiple initiatives at once. 
  • Ability to lead and empower cross-functional team members without direct authority 
  • Insight driven, learning and change agility, forward thinker, customer centric, effective communication with internal & external stakeholders, & drive stakeholder education 
  • Ability to develop leading-edge business models, frameworks for analysis, and long-term business strategies that maximize shareholder value. 
  • Willing to travel for in-person team meetings at least once / quarter
