Sr. Sourcing Specialist

This is an exciting opportunity to join Boston Scientific’s Indirect Sourcing team! At Boston Scientific, flexibility and work life balance are important aspects of our culture. As such, the Sr. Sourcing Specialist would work under our hybrid model, allowing for work at both the office and at home.

About the Role:

An integral member of the America’s Sourcing Team, the Sr. Sourcing Specialist will drive end-to-end execution of sourcing events for operational spend (e.g. spend between $50K - $250K) in multiple spend categories within Indirect Sourcing, including but not limited to, Sales & Marketing, Information Technology, Professional Services, Facilities and MRO. The Sr. Sourcing Specialist will provide excellent customer service to the supported Businesses, Sites, and Regions. The Sr. Sourcing Specialist reports to the Regional Sourcing Manager.

Your Responsibilities Include:


  • Develop and maintain relationships with internal and external customers
  • Contract Management, including:
    • Contract Development
    • Contract review and approval
    • Contract business term negotiations
    • Utilize Boston Scientific Legal when appropriate
  • Supplier Management, including:
    • Supplier analysis, including financials and capabilities
    • Supplier selection
    • Support suppliers by resolving inquiries and disputes
    • Negotiate favorable payment terms
  • Execute Sourcing events from End-to-End, including:
    • Analyze spend data to identify savings opportunities
    • Identify stakeholders and drive stakeholder alignment to goals
    • Develop Sourcing Event Documentation, including Requests for Proposal and Requests for Quote
    • Proposal review and analysis
    • Price negotiation to obtain best value
    • Contract development
  • Educate internal stakeholders on Boston Scientific Sourcing and Financial policies
  • Maintain Boston Scientific Quality standards
  • Achieve annual cost savings and value contribution targets

What We're Looking For:

Required Qualifications:


  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • 4+ years of progressive experience in Sourcing 
  • Working knowledge of Procurement end-to-end process
  • Knowledge of SAP, Ariba
  • MS Excel and PowerPoint
