Sr. Supply Chain Analyst 
 

About the Role: 
 

At Boston Scientific, the Senior Supply Chain Analyst is part of the Global Supply Chain Control Tower Team and is responsible for activities driving improvements in the end-to-end supply chain via the Control Tower structure. The Analyst is expected to be efficient and drive continuous improvement in the primary systems and tools that support Supply Chain Control Tower infrastructure. Primary responsibilities will include supply chain performance metric creation, performance reporting, analysis, data mining, data analytics, optimization, project management and supply chain continuous improvement. 
 

Your Responsibilities Includes: 
 

  • Analyze supply chain performance and diagnose key improvement areas (e.g., forecast accuracy, backorder, service level, inventory, on-time delivery metrics); Build and maintain methodology and tools for ongoing analysis. 

  • Lead Corporate projects - Identify scope and business requirements, develop the approach, architect solution, manage project development, communicate to stakeholders, train and guide user groups through adoption and change management. 

  • Take ownership and responsibilities of metrics or project modules, monitor, and maintain corresponding applications post development and provide good customer service to Internal Customers and Partners 

  • Participate in on-demand disruption coordination activities and ad-hoc analysis. 

  • Maintain and update key information and data in core metrics as well as IT applications. 

  • Identify areas of improvement and value-add, define, and implement efficiency enhancement. 

  • Improve reporting capabilities and data extraction through automation by leveraging SQL, Python and Alteryx. 

  • Lead efforts to acquire data that improves end to end supply chain visibility. 

  • Coordinate efforts to assist the Supply Chain Planning and Supply Chain Systems Team by providing information that leads to improved decision-making utilizing SAP and Material Resource Planning System (Kinaxis Rapid Response). 

  • In all actions, demonstrates a primary commitment to patient safety and product quality by maintaining compliance to the Quality Policy and all other documented quality processes and procedures. 

  • Assures that appropriate resources (personnel, tools, etc.) are maintained to assure Quality System compliance and adherence to the BSC Quality Policy. 

  • Establishes and promotes a work environment that supports the Quality Policy and Quality System. 
     

What We’re Looking For: 
 

Required Qualifications: 
 

  • BS/BA with a concentration in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business Administration Operations Management, Computer Science, IT or Engineering 

  • 3-5 years broad Supply Chain/Operations experience, including analytics. Has a fundamental understanding of end-to-end Supply Chain setup and principles. 

  • Has a passion for Supply Chain/Operations and is willing to explore a career in Supply Chain/Operations 

  • Solid understanding of relational databases, experienced with database operations and design (join, union, group, case, interim table operations, etc.). Knowledge and experience with advanced data analytics projects a strong plus. 

  • Extremely strong analysis and problem-solving skills required.  

  • Advanced PC application skills needed (Excel, Access, Power Point, Word, other DB applications, BI Tools, reporting tools) 

  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively with others including communication, presentation, analysis, negotiation, etc. 

  • Excellent facilitation/communication skills with the ability to successfully interact at all levels of the organization. 

  • Strong project management, organization, and time-management skills; looks for opportunities to drive efficiency improvements. 

  • Most important of all: Must be a self-motivated independent thinker who is eager and quick to learn; highly adaptable, flexible, willing to take on new challenges and champion new ideas. 

  

Preferred Qualifications: 
 

  • Master’s Degree with emphasis in Supply Chain Management/Operations Management a plus 

  • Experience utilizing SAP, Kinaxis Rapid Response, and or other Advanced Planning solutions. 

  • Experience working with SQL; relevant experiences in R, Python, Alteryx, or other data operations tools a strong plus. 

  • Experience working in a global Supply Chain/Operations setting.  

  • Experience working with IT partners on development projects. Can effectively communicate both the technical and business requirements across project stakeholders. Experience designing or participating in data visualization/data engineering projects. 

  • Knowledge and experience of integrated supply chain systems a strong plus – DRP/ERP/MRP 

  • High level knowledge and understanding of database technology platforms, understanding of distributed computing systems and cloud infrastructure a definite plus.
