About the role:
The Endoscopy and Urology Associate Director of Supplier Quality Engineering External Operations (Sourced Finished Medical Devices) leads a team of Supplier Quality Engineering Managers to assure supplier and product quality for external manufactured devices. This position offers the successful candidate the opportunity to be an enabler for revenue growth for BSC and interface with a wide variety of global and divisionally aligned stakeholders to assure quality throughout the New Product Development Lifecycle, during Sustaining Quality and in support of Global Quality and Supply Chain goals.
With an unwavering focus on patient care, he/she/they will influence and assure conformance to Global Quality policies and procedures and work closely with Global Sourcing, Global Supplier Engineering, Global Supply Chain & Distribution, Divisional Design Quality Assurance, New Product Development & Sustaining R&D teams and External Suppliers. He/she/they will be members of Global Quality System Communities of Practice to support the Material Control Process goals and other X-functional Global Quality process goals and Quality Master Projects impacting finished devices. As BSC continues to growth through acquisition, he/she/they will engage with diligence activities and support the determination of resource requirements and advise acquisition teams as warranted about external manufacturing supply chains.
Your Responsibilities will include:
- He/she/they will build a strong and sustaining relationship with Global Sourcing, Supplier Engineering, NPD and Sustaining R&D, Divisional Quality internal customers, Divisional QA/Regulatory, external Regulatory bodies and others and will be recognized as an excellent leader and team player within the total organization.

- He/she/they will assure that appropriate resources (personnel, tools, etc.) are maintained in order to assure Quality System compliance and adherence to the BSC Quality Policy.

- In all actions, demonstrates a primary commitment to patient safety and product quality by maintaining compliance to the Quality Policy and all other documented quality processes and procedures
Required Qualifications:
- Minimum of a bachelor’s degree
- Minimum of 6 years of related functional experience within Quality
- Minimum of 4 years of direct management experience leading large and diverse teams across a highly matrixed organization
- Experience with large scale quality systems and methods that support product and customer needs, including: quality system integrations, functional experience with product development and manufacturing processes
- 10-20% of Domestic and International travel required
- Medical device experience required
Preferred Qualifications:
- Advanced degree in Engineering, Regulatory or relevant medical device domain
- Executive presence, comfortable presenting and collaborating with Senior Leaders as a Business Advisor
- Lean business/VIP experience
- Engineering or manufacturing background with ability to understand technical concepts/models
- Experience working with Asia Pacific regions and suppliers
- Experience working with external suppliers providing finished products
- Experience in managing remote teams
- Familiarity and experience with BSC Quality systems, BSC products and customer needs
- Financial experience, managing P&L and AOP
- Experience managing high impact product performance: field issues, complaints, and field actions
