Supply Chain Planner I

 

About The Role:

 

The Supply Chain Planner is part of the Global Supply Chain Planning team and will focus on supporting cross-Divisional spare service parts planning for OUS regions. This cross-functional role provides the unique opportunity to work collaboratively with the Capital Equipment Technical Service and the Divisional Global Supply Chain Planning teams. The involvement in activities and tasks that range from strategic to tactical spectrum of the supply chain decision matrix requires high performance individuals that can quickly adapt to requirements of the task at hand, a self-motivated independent thinker and problem-solver, with strong work ethics, attention to details, desire to produce accurate work outputs, and strong interpersonal skills. This may range from creative out of the box thinking, consulting skills, project management, coordinating and planning, to skillful manipulation and detailed analysis of large amounts of data. The Planner is also expected be efficient in working with the systems and tools that support the various business functions.  The ideal candidate is also highly adaptable, flexible and willing to accept new ideas, processes and procedures.

 

Your Responsibilities Include:

 

  • Work with Capital Equipment Field Service Engineers and Divisional global Supply Chain teams to identify all known demand sources across OUS regions.
  • Develop content and material for Sales and Operations Planning meetings and participate in analyzing and resolving issues impacting supply chain performance.
  • Analyze supply chain performance and diagnose key improvement areas to forecast accuracy, shelf life, supply variability, service level, and backorder.
  • Proactively manage back orders.
  • Build and maintain methodology and tools for on-going analysis.
  • Participate in launch planning new products containing service parts.
  • Define and implement improvement opportunities for current processes and systems.
  • Maintain and update key information and data in core IT applications.
  • Lead Corporate projects, develop the approach, communicate plans and tasks to divisional and global participants, manage project to timelines, and achieve project goals.
  • Establish and support a work environment of continuous improvement, supporting BSC’s Quality Policy, Quality System and appropriate regulations for areas supporting.

 

 

What We're Looking For:

 

Required Qualifications:

  • Four-year degree and work experience in related field.
  • 0-3 years’ experience in supply chain, materials management, manufacturing planning or inventory control function.
  • Working experience with DRP, MPS, MRP, SAP or ERP System.
  • Extremely strong PC skills utilizing such software programs as Excel, Access, Word and PowerPoint. 

 
Preferred Qualifications:
 

  • Continuous education in a related field
  • Project Management experience
  • Capital Equipment and/or Service parts experience
  • APICS certification
  • Lean Manufacturing experience
