About the Role:
The primary responsibility of the EPM Testing Lead is to lead and coordinate all testing activities supporting Enterprise Performance Management (EPM) systems, including enhancements, upgrades, implementations, and ongoing releases. This role is accountable for defining and executing the overall testing strategy across multiple testing phases, including System Integration Testing (SIT), User Acceptance Testing (UAT), End-to-End (E2E) testing, regression testing, and production readiness validation.
This individual will partner with Program Managers, IT teams, Finance stakeholders, business process owners, and strategic vendors to ensure solutions are thoroughly tested and meet business, functional, integration, and operational requirements. The role requires strong leadership, project management, and quality assurance expertise to drive testing governance, coordinate cross-functional teams, manage risks and defects, and ensure successful delivery of reliable EPM solutions to the global finance community.

Key Responsibilities:
- Testing Strategy & Governance: Define and maintain the overall testing strategy, methodology, standards, and governance framework for EPM projects and releases, ensuring alignment with business objectives and technology roadmaps.
- End-to-End Testing Leadership: Lead planning, coordination, and execution of testing activities across all phases including SIT, UAT, E2E, regression, and release validation testing.
- Test Planning & Management: Develop comprehensive test plans, testing schedules, entry/exit criteria, resource plans, and defect management processes across multiple concurrent initiatives.
- Cross-Functional Coordination: Partner with Finance, Accounting, IT, Data, Integration, and vendor teams to ensure complete test coverage across business processes, data flows, interfaces, and reporting solutions.
- Quality Assurance & Validation: Ensure solutions are validated against business requirements, functional specifications, integration requirements, and operational readiness criteria.
- Defect & Risk Management: Drive defect triage, prioritization, resolution tracking, and risk mitigation activities throughout the testing lifecycle.
- Release Readiness: Provide testing sign-off recommendations and quality assessments to support deployment and production readiness decisions.
- Stakeholder Communication: Deliver regular testing status updates, quality metrics, defect trends, risks, and executive-level reporting to project leadership and stakeholders.
- Resource & Vendor Management: Coordinate business and testing resources, while challenging implementation partners and vendors to ensure appropriate testing rigor and quality standards are met.
- Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities to improve testing processes, tools, automation approaches, and quality practices across the EPM landscape.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree
- 7+ years of experience leading testing efforts for enterprise software implementations, upgrades, or transformations.
- 3+ years of experience managing complex testing programs involving multiple testing phases (SIT, UAT, E2E, regression).
- Experience developing and executing enterprise-wide testing strategies and governance models.
- Strong understanding of software quality assurance, defect management, and release management practices.
- Experience coordinating testing activities across business, IT, and third-party vendor teams.
- Knowledge of financial business processes including planning, forecasting, consolidation, close, and reporting.
- Experience with Waterfall, Agile, and hybrid project delivery methodologies.
- Strong leadership, stakeholder management, and communication skills.
- Experience with Oracle EPM Cloud, Hyperion, FCCS, EPBCS, ARCS, or other EPM platforms.
- Experience leading testing for Finance Transformation or Enterprise Performance Management programs.
- Experience managing testing across ERP-EPM integrations (Oracle ERP, SAP, Workday, etc.).
- Knowledge of financial planning, consolidation, close, reporting, and master data management processes.
- PMP®, Agile, or Quality Management certifications.
