About the role: 

The VP HR Global Operations will be accountable for creating, influencing and driving a wide-ranging spectrum of world-class human resources strategies aligned with the company’s corporate vision and designed to achieve global operations business initiatives and strategies. To achieve this, he/she will act as a trusted advisor to the EVP Global Operations and his leadership team. He/she will consult and partner with them to understand their business objectives and define the talent management strategies to deliver those business objectives.  The VP HR Global operations reports dotted line into the SVP, Human Resources.  As a member of the global HR leadership team he/she will play a role in setting the global HR agenda.  The VP HR Global Operations is responsible for leading a team of HR professionals across the globe.



Your responsibilities include: 

  • HR Business Strategy:  Define, develop and implement meaningful HR business strategies, plans and initiatives for optimal structure and resource plans, aligned with the specific needs of the different global functions.
  • Talent Acquisition:  Build a robust workforce plan and ensure execution of the plan within the various functions. Together with the senior leadership team, build plans to attract key talent for the organization.
  • Effective HR Service Delivery:   Leverage HR Centers of Excellence to address and satisfy the strategic needs of the business.   Ensure strategies and initiatives link closely with globally established processes and systems.
  • Talent Management and Development: Develop and lead the talent agenda process, which includes creating plans that assess talent, perform pipeline analysis and fill gaps to develop and move people within the enterprise as appropriate.
  • Build the Right Culture:  Work closely with top management to drive and embed company values and behaviors and ensure leaders leverage these to motivate and engage teams.
  • Coach and Mentor: Act as a coach and mentor to the leadership and own team. Position him or herself as a credible advisor to both groups 
  • HR Team Leadership:. Set strategic direction and guide the HR team in the design, development and execution of organizational development initiatves. Build and share functional expertise, industry insights and best practices with the team to ensure high level HR quality support to the business.  Provide inclusive leadership including those who do not report directly into this position 
  • Value Improvement and Business Transformation programs:  In conjunction with the leadership team and the global HR organization plans, support the global functions with relevant VIP, restructuring activities, and business transformation programs. 


What we're looking for: 

  • HR experience supporting global operations functions is preferred
  • Comfortable working in a matrixed, global growth-oriented corporate environment.
  • Previous experience  initiating  and leading change initiatives
  • Strong track record of people leadership, managing and developing HR teams.  Demonstrated ability to deal with highly complex business challenges, both urgent short-term issues and long-term strategic items.
  • Experience with developing and implementing custom talent management strategies across the various global operations groups
  • A deep understanding of how to build talent in an organization both in terms of acquisition and development. Has worked on creating engagement and retention strategies and plans with successful deployment.
  • Strong commitment to defining and delivering diversity and inclusion strategies.
  • Ability to drive global consistency in HR practices across global operations
  • Previous experience in guiding, coaching and leading senior executives as a credible business advisor
  • Ability to envision, drive and manage complex organizational change and development coupled with relentless follow-through to ensure successful outcomes.
  • Outstanding operational ability to navigate  successfully between strategic agenda while driving excellence in HR service delivery  across the global functions
  • Strong business acumen coupled with proven, in-depth experience in assessing, identifying, designing and implementing talent management and organization effectiveness initiatives.
  • Demonstrated cultural agility and ability to effectively lead across many different cultures
  • Demonstrated skill in exerting influence and building consensus at senior leadership levels to gain necessary commitment and support.
  • Thrives in a team oriented, high demand and high performance culture.
  • Entrepreneurial mind-set: not overly reliant on big company programs and discipline, yet with demonstrated ability to take risk and to create from scratch as needed.
  • Demonstrated ability to make tough decisions on people when needed
