The Vice President, Global Marketing – Prosthetic Urology and Pelvic Health serves as the enterprise‑level leader responsible for defining and driving the global vision for both organizations with a unified, portfolio‑driven mindset. This executive provides strategic direction across two complex, high‑growth franchises and is accountable for developing and executing global marketing and business strategies that enable sustainable, long‑term growth.

 

This role demonstrates leadership by shaping the full commercial trajectory of a business generating more than $1B in annual revenue. The VP is responsible for orchestrating exceptional product launches, accelerating global market adoption, expanding into new markets, and ensuring sustained commercial performance. Through this work, the VP aligns cross‑functional teams, strengthens global competitiveness, and ensures the portfolio delivers meaningful value to customers, clinicians, and patients worldwide.

 

This role requires a dynamic, innovative leader who inspires change, builds world-class marketing capability, and aligns strategy execution with the needs of customers, patients, shareholders, and employees. The VP will play a critical role in leading a cross-functional team and shaping the future of this implantable business while developing and coaching the next generation of marketing leaders.

 

Work model, relocation:
At Boston Scientific, we value collaboration and synergy. This role follows a hybrid work model requiring employees to be in our local office at least three days per week. There is flexibility for this role to be based in either MA or MN.  Relocation assistance will be available for this position.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and lead annual and long-range marketing and business plans in partnership with direct reports and other marketing leaders
  • Partner cross-functionally to define and execute portfolio strategies, including both organic and external growth opportunities.
  • Partner with Marketing peers to:
    • build and scale digital marketing capabilities to enhance physician engagement and patient awareness
    • advance omnichannel marketing and leverage analytics to optimize ROI
  • Identify, evaluate, and champion acquisition opportunities that support franchise and divisional growth objectives.
  • Build and execute an integrated global marketing strategy and drive commercial execution with key internal and external partners.
  • Lead regular global leadership discussions to ensure franchise strategy is effectively deployed across major geographies, with appropriate local adaptation.
  • Engage frequently with customers and key opinion leaders (KOLs) to deeply understand unmet needs and incorporate insights into strategy development.
  • Leverage cross-franchise and functional expertise to influence complex business decisions.
  • Define and champion a clear, compelling vision for the Pru and PH portfolio in collaboration with marketing and sales leadership.
  • Align franchise priorities, investments, and resources to deliver against an integrated strategy and operating plan.
  • Communicate integrated marketing strategies across the PRU and PH organization and the broader enterprise to ensure clarity, alignment, and execution.
  • Build a strong succession pipeline by mentoring, sponsoring, and developing high-potential marketing leaders
  • Apply enterprise systems, processes, and best practices to drive execution, efficiency, and operational excellence.
  • Continuously assess and improve ways of working to reduce complexity and enhance organizational effectiveness.
  • Demonstrate an unwavering commitment to patient safety, product quality, and regulatory compliance.

 

What We’re Looking For

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree required.
  • 10+ years of medical device marketing experience.
  • 10+ years of senior leadership experience with demonstrated people and organizational leadership.
  • Proven commercial leader with experience developing and executing global go-to-market strategies for innovative technologies.
  • Strong analytical rigor with the ability to translate complex data into actionable insights that inform strategic decision-making and drive business performance
  • Strategic, action-oriented thinker with a highly collaborative leadership style.
  • Exceptional strategic and people leadership
  • Track record of delivering impactful, scalable upstream and downstream marketing strategies.
  • Strong passion for developing leaders and building high-performing teams.
  • This role is based in MN or MA and operates in a hybrid work environment.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master of Business Administration (MBA) or advanced degree in a related field

Compensation will be commensurate with demonstrable level of experience and training, pertinent education including licensure and certifications, among other relevant business or organizational needs. Compensation for hourly, non-sales roles may also include variable compensation from time to time (e.g., any overtime and shift differential) and annual bonus target (subject to plan eligibility and other requirements).

 

Compensation for salaried, non-sales roles may also include variable compensation, i.e., annual bonus target and long-term incentives (subject to plan eligibility and other requirements).

 

Compensation for sales roles is governed by Sales Incentive Compensation Plan (which includes certain annual non-discretionary incentives based on predetermined objectives).

This job involves regular collaboration with colleagues, clients, and stakeholders across Canada, the U.S., and/or internationally, making proficiency in English essential for effective communication and alignment. English is necessary for engaging with a range of documentation and maintaining effective communication if interacting with external clients or vendors.

As detailed in the job description, this job involves communicating, both verbally and in writing, with other Boston Scientific teams located across Canada, the United States and/or with our international clients and partners. International customers and partners represent an important part of our activities.
