About the role:
Boston Scientific is advancing the future of healthcare through bold, purpose-driven leadership and innovation. As part of the evolution of our Global Supply Chain operating model, we are establishing a new leadership role: Vice President, Global Supply Chain – Digital & AI Transformation.

 

This leader will define and execute the end-to-end digital and AI transformation roadmap across the global supply chain. The objective: deliver improvements in performance, scalability, resilience, and competitive advantage through digital innovation and driving value.

 

This role will operate at scale across the supply chain value chain—Plan, Source, Make, Deliver, and Service—and work in close partnership with IT, external technology providers, divisional and cross-functional partners.

Your responsibilities will include:

Enterprise digital & AI strategy

  • Define, shape and lead the Global Supply Chain digital and AI vision and transformation roadmap
  • Align digital strategy with business priorities, enterprise platforms, and value chain optimization
  • Identify, prioritize, and sequence digital and analytics use cases across Plan, Source, Make, Deliver, and Service
  • Ensure digital investments deliver measurable outcomes in cost, service, agility, resilience, and growth enablement

 

Transformation leadership & execution

  • Lead cross-functional, multi-year digital and AI transformation programs across global supply chain
  • Establish governance, performance metrics, and accountability models to ensure disciplined execution
  • Influence & drive adoption and capability building through structured change management

 

Cross-functional & enterprise partnership

  • Partner with IT, Commercial, Manufacturing, R&D, Finance, Quality, and external vendors to align priorities and technology strategy
  • Influence without authority in a global, matrixed environment to align digital efforts across diverse stakeholders

 

Data & analytics enablement

  • Responsible for a team that develops and enables data & analytics across global supply chain
  • Establishes data governance, ownership and practices across global supply chain
  • Partners with IT to connect data for use across global supply chain

 

Operating model & capability development

  • Build enterprise structure, governance, and fluency around supply chain digital transformation
  • Integrate fragmented digital and analytics initiatives into a cohesive enterprise capability
  • Benchmark and align with external best practices in medtech, life sciences, and advanced manufacturing
  • Advance data-driven operating models, digital twins, and intelligent automation
  • Ensure responsible, scalable, and secure adoption of digital and AI tools

 

Required qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Engineering, Information Systems, Business, or related field; advanced degree (MBA or equivalent) preferred
  • Minimum of 15 years of leadership experience in supply chain, operations, or technology transformation in a global, matrixed organization
  • Proven success translating digital and AI vision into execution, outcomes, and enterprise value
  • Understanding of supply chain and/or adjacent domains (manufacturing, planning, logistics, operations)
  • Strong executive presence and ability to partner with senior leadership, IT, and external vendors
  • Ability to operate in ambiguity, build governance, and create structure in new capability areas
  • Global mindset and experience working across regional, cultural, and regulatory environments

 

Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience in medical device, pharmaceutical, or other highly regulated industries
  • Experience leading technology-enabled transformation at scale (digital, AI, automation)
  • Familiarity with planning and execution platforms (ERP, advanced planning, IBP/S&OP enablement tools, MES) and modern data/analytics ecosystems
  • Experience establishing or scaling a supply chain control tower and exception-based management model
  • Track record of modernizing supply chain processes and systems, including adoption of digital workflow automation and self-service analytics
  • Lean/Six Sigma or other continuous improvement credentials and experience embedding process excellence into digital delivery

Minimum Salary: $225900 

Maximum Salary: $429200 

 

The anticipated compensation listed above and the value of core and optional employee benefits offered by Boston Scientific (BSC) – see www.bscbenefitsconnect.com—will vary based on actual location of the position and other pertinent factors considered in determining actual compensation for the role. Compensation will be commensurate with demonstrable level of experience and training, pertinent education including licensure and certifications, among other relevant business or organizational needs. At BSC, it is not typical for an individual to be hired near the bottom or top of the anticipated salary range listed above.

 

Compensation for non-exempt (hourly), non-sales roles may also include variable compensation from time to time (e.g., any overtime and shift differential) and annual bonus target (subject to plan eligibility and other requirements).

 

Compensation for exempt, non-sales roles may also include variable compensation, i.e., annual bonus target and long-term incentives (subject to plan eligibility and other requirements).
