Business Development Manager, Urology

ABOUT THE ROLE

The position of Business Development Manager, Urology will support the business in expanding markets to achieve sales targets, goals and objectives of the division. You will aid the achievement of customer satisfaction and business growth through focused business planning and support customers with clinical expertise to enable optimal patient outcomes.  The role is also responsible for training and education of the Boston Scientific team and external customers in relation to our products and services. 

 

WHAT WILL YOU BE RESPONSIBLE FOR?

  • Developing and maintaining a high level of technical, clinical and market knowledge on rectal spacing on an ongoing basis.
  • Liaising with regional and global partners to refine training programs and align on product training.
  • Spending time in field with sales representatives and rectal spacing customers across ANZ. 
  • Facilitating clinical training and mentoring with the goal of moving internal team members and external customers to independence with the procedure.
  • Coaching the sales team on selling, differentiating and objection handling strategies regarding rectal spacing products
  • Supporting the field team in opening new centres / inducting new customers; providing redundancy for field / case coverage when required; encourage the best practice techniques to drive positive patient outcomes.
  • Building strong strategic relationships with key opinion leaders (KOL’s) and other targeted customers to drive increased / new business.
  • Working with the sales leaders and marketing team to develop plans to grow market share and deliver on annual revenue commitments; facilitate execution of these plans with key centres.
  • Acting as a point of contract for tender and other commercial agreements specific to spacing.
  • Attending meetings, conferences and exhibitions as required, to promote our products and services. 
  • Representing Boston Scientific’s values and operating with integrity.

SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS 

  • Commercial experience in medical devices with demonstrated achievement of success.
  • Demonstrated experience in Urology is desirable.
  • Demonstrated expertise in building and maintaining strong relationships.
  • A quick learner with the ability to gain clinical knowledge quickly.
  • Ability to influence and lead others to work together to achieve successful outcomes
  • Ability to plan and prioritise a flexible work schedule.
  • Excellent written & verbal communication skills.
  • Results focused with a resilient, flexible approach.
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
  • Tertiary education in science or business.
  • Note there will be periods of regular travel required for this role.
