Product Manager - Endoscopy

ABOUT THE ROLE


The core objective of the role of Product Manager, Endoscopy is to support the Marketing Manager and Business Unit Director to achieve the division’s strategic goals and objectives. This person should drive the achievement of business growth through focused market/competitive analysis and support the development of a tactical marketing plan in coordination with the sales and marketing organization.


This role will be based in New South Wales and will report to the Marketing Manager, Endoscopy. 

 

 

WHAT WILL YOU BE RESPONSIBLE FOR?


Product / Market Management: 

  • Develops operational product launch strategies, and identifies product roll-out strategy in collaboration with global marketing and local cross functional teams.
  • Development of sales, educational, and marketing tools to enable sales.
  • Responsible for developing, coordinating and executing product training.
  • Facilitates Physician to Physician training and selling.
  • Defines and executes professional conference strategies and tactics for franchise/products.
  • Develops creative approaches to market both new and existing products and lifecycle management.

 

Market Development: 

  • Identifies clinical/market trends and suggests new product/marketing opportunities.
  • Assists in the development and is responsible for the execution of post market strategies.
  • Responsible for the development and implementation of strategic marketing plans for product areas consistent with the overall franchise goals. 
  • Supports field execution of marketing programs through active presence in the field, working with Territory Managers and Market Development Managers. 
  • Assists in creating reimbursement strategies.

 

Building and Maintaining Relationships: 

  • Identifies and develops relationships with key opinion leaders in the field.
  • Develops support structure and relationships with Territory Managers and Endoscopy Leadership team through responsiveness to their questions, needs and issues.
  • Develops and maintains relationships with key functional areas including Global Marketing, Clinical, Demand Planning and Regulatory.

 

Planning and Analysis: 

  • Category/product responsibility for developing competitive strategy and product analysis.
  • Assists in providing market potential/analysis in developing market planning documents that encompass strategic planning and marketing plans.
  • Understands how product profit/loss is impacted by consignment plans, national contracts, value based pricing etc.
  • Responsible for tracking financial performance of product, analysis of issues and action plan development to achieve revenue objectives in collaboration with sales management.
  • Development and management of the category budget (including programs, promotion, advertising, etc.)

SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS

  • 2+ years previous experience within product/marketing role in medical device/medical equipment industry; or previous medical device sales/business development role and looking to make a move into a marketing role.
  • Degree qualified, preferably in Marketing, Engineering or MBA.
  • Experience of leading new product launches and the different elements needed for gold standard launches.
  • Experience in developing, implementing and running Physician training and education.
  • Proven experience as a team player with a winning attitude.
  • Excellent written & verbal communication skills.
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft 365 Suite including PowerPoint and Excel.
