ABOUT THE ROLE

 

The Senior Compliance Specialist, ANZ is responsible for enhancing, maintaining and implementing the compliance program for ANZ.   This role reports to and collaborates closely with the Head of Legal and Compliance, ANZ in a small but impactful local legal and compliance function that collaborate with compliance colleagues in the APAC region and globally.  

The Senior Compliance Specialist acts as a compliance business partner providing compliance guidance and support to the ANZ business.  The Senior Compliance Specialist will work collaboratively with offshore team members that support the administration of the compliance program for ANZ  

In this role, you will be required to liaise with multiple stakeholders including sales and marketing teams, the ANZ leadership team, the APAC legal and compliance team and external stakeholders.

 


WHAT WILL YOU BE RESPONSIBLE FOR?
• Monitor and ensure compliance with company policies and procedures. 
• Collaborate with the head of legal and compliance to develop the strategic priorities for the compliance program. 
• Implement the compliance training and communication framework to promote a compliance culture within the business
• Monitor updates to medical technology code requirements and relevant laws and regulations 
• Act as a local business partner to support the ANZ business in compliant interactions with customers and ensuring awareness and understanding of compliance processes. This includes delivering of in-person and virtual training, compliance coaching and support and guidance. 
• Actively managing and supporting offshore team members to ensure efficient and collaborative interactions between the ANZ team and the broader Legal and Compliance function. 
• Represent the compliance function as part of local and wider regional compliance initiatives and process improvements.  
• Act as key knowledge source on industry code requirements and training and communicating to ANZ team on relevant local compliance considerations.
• Partner with cross-functional teams, including quality and regulatory, finance and supply chain to provide compliance input where required.
• Responsible for day-today management of the local implementation of global compliance policies, including in relation to interactions with healthcare providers, third party management and product and equipment compliance.  
• Acting as the key compliance contact for monitoring requests, audit requests and any investigations.

SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS

  • 6+ years of experience. We encourage candidates of with different backgrounds and experience levels, who are passionate about applying their skills to a new role to apply
  • Experience in risk management or a related field
  • Experience in the healthcare industry (Medical Device experience) is highly regarded but not essential
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail
  • Ability to organise, plan and execute deliverables in a timely manner. 
  • Microsoft Office Suite intermediate (Excel, PowerPoint, Word)  
  • Ability to communicate with multiple stakeholders
  • A self-starter who has the ability to learn
  • Ability to solve problems and work independently and collaboratively with local and remote teams
