The Cardiac Rhythm Management (CRM) Clinical Specialist provides expert clinical support and education for implantable cardiac devices and associated technologies such as implantable cardiac monitors, pacemakers, implantable cardioverter defibrillators (ICDs), and cardiac resynchronization therapy (CRT) devices. Acting as a key liaison between the company, physicians, clinical staff, and patients, the Clinical Specialist ensures optimal device use, patient outcomes, and adherence to clinical protocols.
This role is based in Melbourne Victoria and will report to the Regional Sales Manager, Rhythm Management.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Build strong relationships with existing customers to understand their needs as well as identify potential new business opportunities
- Work with the broader CRM team to understand and identify customer needs including practices and policies and to identify training, research and engagement opportunities for new and existing customers.
- Successfully complete formal Cardiac Rhythm Management training program(s), apply these skills in the field and maintain high level of technical and market knowledge on an ongoing basis.
- Maintain deep knowledge of Boston Scientifics CRM product portfolio and relevant competitor CRM technologies.
- Develop a clear and current knowledge of the market dynamics as well as identifying any competitor activities.
- Provide exceptional intraoperative and in-clinic support during the implantation and follow-up of CRM devices to ensure optimal performance for each and every patient.
- Provide ongoing education to both internal and external clinical stakeholders to maintain a high level of knowledge and understanding of product functionality, programming and troubleshooting.
- Deliver technical training and product updates to hospital staff and colleagues.
- Monitor device performance and assist in programming optimization based on patient-specific needs and clinical data.
- Participate in clinical evaluations, data collection, and writing case studies as required.
- Maintain detailed case logs and documentation as part of post-market surveillance and quality assurance efforts.
- Support sales team by identifying opportunities, assisting with product adoption, and facilitating relationships with key stakeholders.
- Ensure compliance with all regulatory and hospital policies regarding device support and data security.
- Complete relevant administration including reporting, stock validations and management as well as database management.
- Attend meetings, conferences and exhibitions as required to promote Boston Scientific products and services.
- Be available to support the broader ANZ CRM business on an as-needs basis
- Maintain all company assets, including assigned inventory, in good order and in accordance with BSC audit and process requirements.

- Develop in depth knowledge of Rhythm Management procedures, products and treatment applications.

YOUR EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS
- Previous clinical Cardiology experience is essential, hands-on CRM experience is highly sought
- Strong technical and clinical skills
- Proven experience in building and maintaining trusted customer relationships
- Proven ability to absorb complex technical information and apply this knowledge in the field
- Excellent written & verbal communication
- Tertiary qualifications in preferred disciplines including biomedical engineering and science-related disciplines
