About the Role

Boston Scientific is looking for a brilliant Accounting Intern always willing to learn, to join the Finance team covering internal and external requirements. In the role, the selected candidate will report directly to the Italian Accounting Manager/ Principal Financial Analyst.

In this role, you will be responsible to:

• Ensure accuracy of various areas while performing month-end close including General ledger, accruals, VAT, Fixed Asset, Operating expense

• Compiles and analyzes financial information through preparation of reports.

• Ensure respect of internal finance policies.

• Takes an active interest in seeking opportunities for continuous improvement.

• Support the accounting team members in various tasks.

• Support and provide documentation for audits.

• Support to SOX program.

• Works closely with PTP and ATR team of Global Business Services (GBS) to grant accuracy and efficiency

• Develops and maintains rebate/bonus data bases to report key business metrics, rebate payments, trends, and other performance criteria to Sales and field management.

• Collects, compiles, and analyzes data to ensure accurate, timely calculation and payment of rebates/bonus in accordance with signed contracts.

• Support the Manager in the identification and resolution of rebate/bonus discrepancies by interacting with various Sales representatives.

• Analyzes data to create monthly and ad hoc reports for Sales and field management.

• Collaboration with mixed groups or team of employees in the achievement of organizational goals.

What we are looking for in you:

• Graduated in bachelor’s or master’s degree in finance, Economics or Accounting

• Fluency in English (B1+ level)

• Goods skills in Excel

• Knowledge of SAP is a plus

• Eager to learn new tasks and to work in a stimulating multinational environment

• Analytical thinking
