Purpose Statement & General Summary

The purpose of the Healthcare Solutions & Partnerships team is to help establish Boston Scientific as a leading healthcare Solutions provider. This is achieved by engaging in long-term partnerships with customers, providing them with products, services and solutions which are differentiated and tailored to their needs.  

 

Key Responsibilities

-Play a lead "internal evangelist" within Boston Scientific Cluster by ensuring that all relevant internal stakeholders – Divisional Leadership, Marketing, Medical Affairs, Strategic Business Support and Market Access, Legal and Finance etc. are aware of and aligned to the Cluster Healthcare Solutions
-Owns the shadow HS&P P&L for the cluster and drives adoption and profitable growth of the Advantics solution portfolio.  This portfolio includes offerings such as Capital Financing, Performance Optimization, Services Development, Managed Services and new Advantics therapy solutions
-Lead the Cluster Healthcare Solutions and Partnership team, the Strategic Account Management, Solutions Architect and Delivery functions, ensuring that the very best talent is hired, roles and responsibilities are clearly understood and that the key capabilities needed to deliver on the strategy and business objectives are in place
-Drive incremental product revenue through hospital program deals.
-Develop and manage alliances and partnerships with vendors who can work with Boston Scientific to deliver customised solutions.
-Oversee the commercial framework (trade term structure, customer mapping, customer engagement planning) for T100 Accounts within the Cluster.
-Identify top accounts within the region, considering their operations, financials, politics, criteria, strategic imperatives, decision makers and processes.  Ensure BSC is building strong, sustainable, binding relationships with key influencers (COO/CFO/CMO) within these accounts
-Support Tier 1, cross-divisional account selection process and provide structure, tools and processes to enable cross-divisional deals.  Develop strategic account management competency at BSC. With the support of commercial capabilities, define required competencies, roadmap, training curriculum, career pathway.
-Participate in monthly reviews of top accounts, and a quarterly review at European level. Track growth and Market Share in top accounts vs other accounts and sales in top accounts versus plan
-Manage the Healthcare Solutions and Partnership team resources to ensure that key priorities are balanced and we deliver on customer expectations and commitments.

-May direct and control the activities and budget of one or more functional areas, divisions, product groups, projects/programs and/or operations.
-Monitor and ensure compliance with company policies and procedures (e.g. federal/country and regulatory requirements).

 

Profile Requirements

⦁ Bachelor Degree or equivalent in a numerate or business subject

⦁ 7 -10years of relevant experience in a senior role within a Medical devices and solutions environment

   Experience managing cross cultural team

⦁ Excellent business acumen with the demonstrated ability to develop and implement strategy across Southern Europe

⦁ Strong interpersonal and influencing skills

⦁ Understanding of market dynamics, pricing strategies and customer needs

⦁ Able to set priorities and execute work in a fast paced environment

⦁ Proficiency level of English required, Italian or Spanish fluency required

⦁ Willingness to travel regularly (3 days a week)
