Field Service Engineer (Italy)

About the Role 

 

We are looking for an experienced Field Service Engineer with 1 to 3 years of experience in Field Service (medical field experience preferred). 

 

Willingness to travel is essential; our expectation is that Engineers will spend approximately 80% of their time in the field. The role will primarily support North/Central Italy, with occasional support required in other European countries. Fluent Italian and good English are mandatory. 

 

The successful candidate will provide technical support across different Business Units, with clients primarily being hospitals. 

 

Candidates should ideally be based in the areas of Milan or Bergamo. 

 

 

 

Key Responsibilities 

 

  • Repair, maintenance, and installation of medical capital equipment in clinical environments 

  • Perform technical troubleshooting across all Boston Scientific Capital Equipment product lines 

  • Develop and maintain customer relationships 

  • Share and exchange information with all relevant internal and external stakeholders, particularly sales and technical services 

  • Maintain accurate service documentation and records to ensure traceability 

  • Maintain strong product competence (skills & knowledge) and attend all required trainings at our EMEA Training Centres in Kerkrade and Istanbul 

  • Keep provided service tools and materials in operational condition 

  • Work in compliance with Boston Scientific corporate guidelines, processes, and procedures 

 

 

Knowledge & Experience 

 

  • Successfully completed studies in electrical engineering, medical engineering, or a similar relevant field 

  • Minimum of 1–2 years of experience as a Field Service Engineer, preferably in medical devices companies 

  • Strong customer orientation 

  • Willingness to travel extensively across Italy and occasionally across Europe (average of 80% field time) 

  • Good English skills 

  • Ability to work in a multi-functional and multicultural environment
