Purpose Statement

The Healthcare Solutions and Partnerships (HS&P) team pioneer and drive multi divisional sales solutions for profitable growth. They develop, deliver and commercialize differentiated and innovative solutions and services supporting divisional category leadership. It supports and collaborates with all Divisional Businesses and Functions to gain sustainable market share, focusing on GPOs and T150 accounts. The HS&P business aims to operate like divisional business with proforma P&Ls.

The HS&P Finance Analyst will report to the HS&A Finance Manager and will serve as the primary finance business partner to the HS&P Cluster BUD and their team, providing expertise in all financial matters and advising on strategic initiatives to drive the future success of the business.

He/she will be part of the HS&P cluster leadership team and will enjoy collaboration across divisions (keep current with divisional market dynamics and BSC portfolio), functions and Southern European countries (Italy, Spain and Portugal).

The Finance analyst will primarily support the Southern cluster HS&P team (70% of her/his time) while the remaining time (30%) will be dedicated to support other FP&A EMEA-wide projects.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Be the business and thought partner to the HS&P Southern cluster BUD and BUMs
  • Support the HS&P annual sales targets process
  • Support the preparation (help shape the deal) and presentation of cross-divisional deals and business cases for innovative partnerships with key customers and ensure alignment of key stakeholders and compliance with BSC policies and procedures
  • Monitor sales and contracts performance in the cluster to meet or exceed targets, and support decision-making
  • Manage the HS&P Southern cluster P&L, investments prioritization, trade-offs and recovery plans
  • Drive cluster management’s ownership and accountability for budget, adherence to T&E policy and more generally BSC Finance policies
  • Support quarterly business reviews within the cluster and financial results reporting and analysis
  • Support the development of tools and automated solutions to improve capabilities surrounding complex deal modelling and monitoring/reporting
  • Identify and lead the execution of VIP initiatives across cluster
  • Educates HS&P teams on financial topics, and on how to develop creative and profitable deals

 Position Requirements

  • Graduate degree in Finance or Accounting discipline; MBA or CPA equivalent preferred
  • 5+ years experience in Financial Planning & Analysis and/or business controlling with large multinational organization; experience in healthcare industry a plus
  • Understanding of US GAAP and financial principles, as well as compliance and internal controls concept
  • Experience supporting commercial organizations with complex business models and transactions
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with strong attention to detail, as well as ability to think strategically and see the bigger picture
  • Business partnering: Customer focus - Consistently identifies (internal) customer needs and ensures the effective delivery of high quality and value-added solutions & services
  • Proven communication and influencing capabilities; highly-collaborative and able to navigate matrixed organization Active listening while encouraging the open expression of ideas and opinions – Ability to tell a compelling story, adapt finance language to the audience
  • Flexible and change-oriented; demonstrates adaptability and readily supports and drives change and continuous improvement
  • Fluency in oral and written English required; Spanish or Italy is a plus
