Social Media, Digital and Content Intern
Corporate Communications, EMEA
Location: Milan or Madrid

 
 

About the role: Reporting to the EMEA Corporate Communications Senior Manager for Social Media, Digital & Content, the ideal candidate will support the team in planning, creating and distributing impactful content across digital channels. The intern will work with internal stakeholders to enhance Boston Scientific’s online presence and support storytelling efforts across both internal and external channels.

 

 

 

Key responsibilities:

  • Support the management of social and digital communication channels, including LinkedIn, YouTube, Instagram, the EMEA website and web newsroom.
  • Maintain and update the editorial calendar, liaising with stakeholders to ensure timely and consistent content delivery.
  • Assist in the creation of multimedia content (e.g. social cards, infographics, short-form videos) that aligns with Boston Scientific’s brand, tone and compliance standards.
  • Draft and edit written content for internal and external audiences, including intranet stories, social media copy, video scripts and campaign messages.
  • Support social media monitoring, community engagement and risk identification in line with global social media policy.
  • Contribute to performance reporting by gathering and analysing digital metrics.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support communication campaigns and content alignment.

 

 

Candidate profile:

  • Master’s student or recent graduate in Communications, Marketing, Media, Humanities or a related field.
  • Strong written and verbal English communication skills.
  • Familiarity with key social media platforms (LinkedIn, Instagram, YouTube, X, Facebook).
  • Proficiency in Microsoft 365 and content creation tools such as Canva or Adobe Creative Suite.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks, meet deadlines and collaborate effectively.
  • Interest in content development, storytelling and digital communication.
  • Previous experience in a similar role (internship or academic project) is a plus.
  • Awareness of social media trends, corporate branding and/or AI tools is an asset.
