Solutions Marketing Lead, Healthcare Solutions & Partnership

The purpose of the Healthcare Solutions & Partnerships (HS&P) team is to help establish Boston Scientific as a leading Healthcare Solutions provider by engaging in long-term partnerships with customers, providing them with products, services and solutions which are differentiated and tailored to their needs.

The Solutions Marketing Lead reports directly in the Marketing Director of HS&P.

The core objective of this role is to support Solutions Product Managers with managing the respective Solutions lifecycle (conception, development, launch, and retirement) within target markets, to fulfil customer needs, both via Digital Health and Advisory Solutions.

The Solutions Marketing Lead supports Solutions Product Managers in translating customer needs into Solutions priorities and facilitate collaboration with the HS&P R&D, commercial & delivery teams, all Divisions within Boston Scientific, support functions and external partners, to define and productize a solutions portfolio that will drive category leadership and differentiation for Boston Scientific.

The Solutions Marketing Lead will work closely with HS&P Digital Solutions Lead to manage the solutions portfolio, with HS&P Customer Success Lead, SDEs and HS&P Sales to measure and manage solution penetration, adoption, profitability, and additional market needs as well as with Divisional teams (GMMs, BUMs) to foster divisional engagement.

This role is a maternity leave replacement for 12 months.

 

Key Responsibilities:

Lead market analysis & insights, be at the forefront of market trends

Provides Solutions Product Managers with guidance on methods of gathering current and target customer feedback and needs.

Participate and manage, as needed, in customer events (advisory boards, tradeshows and congresses), in partnership Divisional teams, Country HS&P teams and EMEA Marketing Communications, in shaping voice of customer and marketing insights

Develop, maintain, and grow relationships with key customers and KOLs.

Assess competitive intelligence, for review with the organization on a regular basis and use in evaluating future development direction in collaboration with Marketing and Business Intelligence Manager.

Analyze potential projects along strategic, clinical, technical, and financial vectors, completing analyses on-own and in cross-functional collaboration to ensure prioritization highest-value projects.

Recommend projects and the pipeline trade-offs required to achieve business goals

 

Lead portfolio management

Serve as the primary point of contact in EMEA, facilitating effective communication and feedback loops on insights collected.

Lead ADVANTICS™ portfolio planning and strategy on Digital Health by developing strategies and plans that support the HS&P and Divisional business objectives and are based on an understanding of relevant data.

Leverage yearly planning moments (Annual Operating Plan and Strategic Plan) to ensures everyone is aligned to the strategy and knows how to prepare and deliver it.

Partners with HS&P Digital R&D to prioritize need for new Solutions development, as identified by Solutions Product Managers and support them in partnering with Solutions Delivery Experts to test new offerings .

Support Solutions Product Managers in:

  • defining and maintaining value proposition of existing & new solutions
  • Monitoring customer satisfaction on existing portfolio and identify opportunities for improvements or trade-offs, as required.

 

Define and execute Go-To-Market strategies and tactical plans

Lead in the definition and execution of Go-to-Market strategies for ADVANTICS™ portfolio​, to achieve / overachieve business objectives.

Work closely with Divisional EMEA and Country HS&P teams to review and agree local plans.

Partner with IMC (Integrated Marketing Communications), Corporate communications and DigCom to define downstream strategies, including:

  • Multichannel strategy
  • Content strategy
  • Congress strategy

Define and monitor marketing analytics (e.g. evidence generation, customer satisfaction)

Continuously monitor sales performance vs. plan and forecast by country, and provide input on local sales strategies and execution.

Participate in business reviews, coordinating operational strategies and programs with involvement from other relevant functions (e.g. R&D, SDEs, Commercial teams).

 

Quality & post launch surveillance  

Ensure awareness and compliance with applicable standard operating procedures to meet, comply and champion all quality and regulatory commitments, related to marketing responsibility, of Boston Scientific.

Ensure post launch surveillance of product quality & implementation of changes / adaptations / improvements whenever necessary.

In all actions, demonstrates a primary commitment to patient safety and product quality by maintaining compliance to the Quality Policy and all other documented quality processes and procedures.

 

Role Requirements

Minimum 5 years professional experience in Healthcare and ideally in Product Management (background in top tier Professional Services / Consulting, IT, or Medical Device) and people management experiences.

Experience in value based marketing, digital marketing and product development. Strategy or  lean experience is valued.

Analytical skills to resolve complex issues in creative ways. Clear thinker, strong problem solving skills, comfortable in challenging existing practices and the status quo.

Excellent Collaboration skills and team player. Proven ability to work and influence across a matrix environment. Strong communicator internally and externally, builds networks, and partners with peers and customers across multiple countries.

Excellent presentation skills.

Management consultancy background a plus.

Rigorous, strong execution mind-set, structured and organized.

Change oriented, able to operate in an area of uncertainty and with changing/limited resources.

Proven experience of successfully working within cross border or virtual teams.

Relevant Bachelor degree or MSc (preferred) in a technical or clinical subject.

Fluency (native or equivalent) in English.

Willing and able to travel frequently.
