About the Role:

The Director of Sales, Prostate Health, West will report directly to the Vice President of Sales for Prostate Health and will be responsible for the continuous development of the Prostate Health business.  This will include enhancing the skills of the Prostate Health sales force in areas including customer relationship management, opportunity and market development, negotiating and closing skills, sales planning, and use of all technologies necessary to maximize productivity and profitability.  The DOS will define and lead the development of strategic plans to drive profitable revenue growth for the division across BPH (Rezum and Surgical BPH) and SpaceOAR in hospitals, ASCs and offices. 

 

Your Responsibilities Include:

  • Team leadership of Region Managers, Territory Managers, and Field Sales Associates.  Development of a positive, high performance team culture.
  • Participate in annual division sales forecast sessions including revenue and expense estimates. .
  • Identify sales forecast opportunities and challenges, build strategies to optimize growth.
  • Integrate regional sales plans into a broader divisional plan and coach managers accordingly.
  • Develop, implement, and monitor a divisional targeting and forecasting program in Saleforce.com.
  • Identify and develop working relationships with the clinical, physician, economic, and MSP customers in key divisional accounts.
  • Be an agent for culture.  Ensure employee engagement, inclusion, diversity, and retention.
  • Inspect that all resources are utilized and leveraged to drive market growth
  • Provide direction and decision making on contract negotiations and pricing on franchise products
  • Attend and participate in customer, company and industry sponsored forums and courses.
  • Provide direction and assistance to sales support/marketing staff members in activities such as sales promotion, training or market research in planning, and executing special projects.
  • Collaborate with team members in all departments, with high focus on other franchise DOS.
  • Maintain knowledge of the industry and the competition; continually seek information from physicians, suppliers, insurance carriers and others to challenge, modify and prioritize sales strategies.  Share learnings with cross-functional team members.
  • Act with and integrity in all engagements and transactions.
  • Spend up to 70% time in the field to support regional sales efforts, professional development, and develop strong customer understanding and relationships.
  • Be a strong commercial leader and engage proactively with cross functional team members, Franchise Leadership team and Commercial Leadership team to grow the franchise.
  • Influence the organization to move in different directions and adopt new ways of thinking to drive growth and improve culture.
  • Recruit and retain top talent from a pool of candidates with diverse backgrounds and skills.
  • Be an inspirational leader who can build a vision, create a strategy, and drive execution.

 

What we are looking for:

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in business discipline or equivalent experience required
  • Minimum 5 years successful management and leadership experience, documented success in sales, marketing, or cross functional roles.
  • Must be able to lead change with a focus on execution
  • Must be able to demonstrate competency in all required areas
  • Must possess the ability to determine and set direction.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead people in complex environments, build high performance teams, and champion diversity.  
  • Strong listening, diagnostic and negotiating skills
  • Ability to engage customers at all levels in an account and be proficient in the CEO/CFO level.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills

 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master’s Degree, MBA
  • Geographically located in Western ½ of United States
  • Demonstrated leadership in a cross-functional role
  • Experience optimizing sales strategy and execution across multiple sites of service:  Hospital, ASC, Office
  • Urology/Prostate Health, or industry related experience
