About this role:
The Regional Endobariatric Manager (REM) is responsible for executing Boston Scientific’s strategy and programs to support growth of its endobariatric product franchise for the Apollo product line. The REM works closely with sales and marketing and assigned endobariatric accounts in four key areas: account qualification, training and education, patient awareness and education, and access to treatment to support short-term and long-term growth of sales/revenue in their assigned area.
As the endobariatric expert in their region, the REM will be responsible to educate on and support safe and effective use of products to physicians and allied health personnel. Additionally, this person will bring innovative solutions that will help our customers address their unmet business needs for the purpose of achieving sales quota in their assigned area.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Support achievement of regional revenue growth targets/quotas
- Support revenue growth in endobariatric accounts by fostering strong customer relationships and executing all sales/marketing initiatives and programs.
- Identify opportunities and needs of existing endobariatric accounts including staff training, increasing product/procedure awareness, and providing clinical and aftercare support, as needed.
- Identify and develop new endobariatric accounts primarily through working with local sales teams.
- Review scientific/clinical literature with customers that supports the continued use of endobariatric products.
- Educate accounts on product, data, and aftercare through in-service and ongoing training with physicians and staff.
- Deliver tools and resources that will help accounts to improve the quality and integrity of patient care as well as to assist in meeting business objectives.
- Work with Sales and Marketing leadership to develop and leverage sales/marketing resources and programs to drive growth of endobariatric products.
Minimum qualifications:
- BA or BS degree
- 5+ years of medical device sales and/or downstream marketing experience
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Computer skills including Word, PowerPoint, Excel, web conference, software, spreadsheet, and experience with database programs (e.g.SalesForce.com)
- Strong analytical and presentation skills
- Ability to travel and cover a large geographical territory (up to 50% travel)
- Be an initiative-taker/self-starter with strong time management and planning skills, have the ability to target accounts and achieve results through a daily action plan.
- Proven history of managing multiple call points and growing existing customer’s base
- Strong leadership skills focused on collaboration (internal/external) and execution/results.
Preferred qualifications:
- Program development and/or market development experience preferred.
- 3+ years of bariatric surgery, plastic surgery, and/or general surgery sales and marketing experience is a plus.
