About the Role

The purpose of the Healthcare Solutions & Partnerships team is to help establish Boston Scientific as a leading Healthcare Solutions provider. This is achieved by engaging in long-term partnerships with customers, providing them with services and solutions which are differentiated and tailored to their needs. Reporting to the Healthcare Solutions and Partnership Director, the core objectives of this role are to understand key customer needs from a solutions standpoint, architect the best possible solutions to fulfil the customer’s needs and design deals or projects aligned with the strategic commercial direction defined for the customer.  The Solutions Architect collaborates with the Area Directors of Corporate Accounts to identify potential solutions areas, helps build relationships with key stakeholders within those customers, and then aggregates components, collaborating with the Global Solutions Franchise organizations, all Divisions within Boston Scientific, support functions and external partners, to create an offering that will deliver the customer’s expected outcomes as part of a contract. Once the company is awarded the business, the Solutions Architect will be in charge of project managing the contract, ensuring that the Solution we build delivers against Client and Boston Scientific’s expectations.

 

The role will work with all Healthcare Solutions and Partnership stakeholders, and more specifically with the Area Directors of Corporate Accounts in Pre-Sales and with the Solutions Delivery Consultants in Post-Sales. As part of the pre-sales mission, the Solutions Architect will own complete identification of the customer’s need coupled with the appropriate Solution content that is intended to be proposed to a client; in the context of his post-sales mission, the Solutions Architect will establish and drive the project plan, drive the resource allocation based on the initial work effort estimate, and then drive project implementation of Solutions to realize improved productivity, quality and patient experience at the client sites.

 

Your responsibilities include:

  • Core member of select Healthcare Partnership customer account teams
  • Participate as needed in the commercial process for targeted key accounts; support the commercial process for Solutions engagement opportunities in those accounts; shape opportunities along with the Director Corporate Accounts and bring Solutions expertise in pre-sales client facing activities
  • Integrate all engagement components that are required to obtain the best possible solution for fulfilling the client’s expectations and desired outcomes
  • Establish a project charter and plan for each engagement component with clearly stated and agreed upon goals & objectives. Determine the appropriate project teams, including both customer, 3rd party and Boston Scientific personnel.
  • Collaborate with colleagues within the Solutions Delivery Team to define, plan and execute implementation of projects and service programs for Healthcare Solutions customers. Drive the resource allocation of Solutions Delivery Consultants, in cooperation with the HS&P Cluster Business Director.
  • Coordinate with relevant stakeholders, internally and externally, to ensure the project proceeds according to the plan. Making adjustments to the plan as necessary, aligned with the project's goals & objectives, ensuring that the end result meets the expectations of the Customer and Boston Scientific.
  • Manage project delivery at multiple customer locations in collaboration with internal resources and external vendors.
  • Work with US Project Management Office, to share learnings and define best practices.
  • Track and report on key metrics to the Corporate Accounts organization and the US Project Management Office, aligned with overall goals & objectives.  Ensure that gains and savings are accurately tracked for both the customer and Boston Scientific
  • Work collaboratively and build relationships with colleagues within team and with contacts across divisions, functions and geographies ; is an active ambassador of Solutions and Cross-Divisional approach

 

 

What we are looking for in you:

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree 
  • Minimum 5 years project management experience within the Healthcare industry (complex project mgmt/consulting experience preferred)
  • Applies comprehensive knowledge and analytical skills to resolve complex issues in creative ways.
  • Proven ability to work and influence across a matrix environment. Strong communicator internally and externally, builds networks, and partners with peers.
  • Excellent presentation skills
  • Clear thinker, strong problem solving skills, comfortable in challenging existing practices and the status quo.
  • Rigorous, strong execution mind-set, structured and organized
  • Change oriented, able to operate in an area of uncertainty and with changing/limited resources.
  • Ability to travel 50% within US

 

Preferred Qualifications

  • Cardiovascular experience
  • Experience with Six Sigma, Lean Management or enterprise change management
  • Clinical heart failure management or selling / consulting in the heart failure space
