About the role:
We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced Principal Product Manager to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for leading the development and execution of key marketing and business strategies for Boston Scientific’s Neuromodulation Portfolio, with a primary focus on the Interventional Spine franchise. The ideal candidate is a seasoned marketer with expertise in technical and clinical products, showcasing strong skills in product development support, launches, commercialization, competitive analysis, and strategic response, coupled with exceptional business acumen.
 

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Leverage core marketing strategies to drive business objectives, including market analysis, segmentation, customer targeting, product positioning, and message creation.
  • Lead the planning and execution of product launches and marketing campaigns, including developing marketing materials, training sales teams, and coordinating with regional stakeholders. 
  • Lead planning and execution of comprehensive competitive response plans.  
  • Support regional training of marketing and sales teams.
  • Spend time in the field to gain market and clinical insights, as well as build relationships with key physicians.
  • Serve as subject matter expert for interventional spine product portfolio
  • Develop and maintain a comprehensive competitive intelligence framework to monitor competitors' strategies, products, market activities, and performance in the back pain solutions space.
  • Make recommendations on product launch cadence leveraging a broad organizational, technical capability and competitive perspective. 
  • Support corporate accounts on IDN strategy.
  • Propose the allocation of resources to assist in managing products' life cycle from concept through retirement by assessing long-term needs and objectives. Support execution of recommendations.
  • Network with colleagues in other divisions and cross-functional departments to align strategies and opportunities. 
  • Demonstrate a primary commitment to patient safety and product quality. Understand and comply with all regulations governing the quality systems.
     

Required qualifications: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, Science, Healthcare/Biomedical fields
  • 7+ years of professional experience in the medical device industry
  • Upstream and downstream experience
  • Experience with market and revenue modeling
  • Experience with determining customer needs within medical device markets
  • Flexibility to travel up to 20% in support of tradeshows, internal meetings and customer programs as required.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and collaboratively to meet deadlines and manage all aspects of product development and commercialization
  • Proven track record of Physician and KOL engagement 
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills 
  • Single use device product launch experience

Preferred qualifications: 

  • Advanced degrees, including M.S, PhD or MBA 
  • Specific medical device experience in low back pain solutions
  • Sales experience
  • Outstanding customer service skills, both internal and external to the organization
  • Capital equipment product launch experience

Maximum Salary: $232000 

 

The anticipated compensation listed above and the value of core and optional employee benefits offered by Boston Scientific (BSC) – see www.bscbenefitsconnect.com--will vary based on actual location of the position and other pertinent factors considered in determining actual compensation for the role. Compensation will be commensurate with demonstrable level of experience and training, pertinent education including licensure and certifications, among other relevant business or organizational needs. At BSC, it is not typical for an individual to be hired near the bottom or top of the anticipated salary range listed above.

 

Compensation for non-exempt (hourly), non-sales roles may also include variable compensation from time to time (e.g., any overtime and shift differential) and annual bonus target (subject to plan eligibility and other requirements).

 

Compensation for exempt, non-sales roles may also include variable compensation, i.e., annual bonus target and long-term incentives (subject to plan eligibility and other requirements).
