About the Role
The Urology and Pelvic Health (UroPH) division at Boston Scientific is a fast growing and dynamic global business that provides a broad range of treatments for urologic conditions. Our mission is to be the partner of choice for innovative medical solutions that improve the quality of patients.   Join us as we work to treat over 3 million patients worldwide annually.  

We are looking for a strong leader for our Global Integrated Communications and Digital Marketing team.  This role ensures consistent delivery of the BSC brand to the market and acts as champion for integrated communications, content strategy, trade shows and digital marketing across the division to deliver on objectives.  They position the team for meaningful contribution to business goals, are empowered to build new capabilities and seek to continuously elevate our integrated communications, digital and demand generation approach – both domestically and globally - to meet objectives.    Success requires significant collaboration across a complex group of global stakeholders including sales, marketing, legal, regulatory and BSC centers of excellence to ensure efficient delivery of their strategies to the market. 
 
We are looking for a tactical and strategic leader that is equal parts creative, operational, collaborative and results-minded.  The incumbent will be empowered to be creative, innovative, and to experiment with new ideas while also building best practice across the division.   
 
Your responsibilities will include:

•Set inspirational vision, mission, goals, direction and manage day-to-day priorities, workflow, and quality for the team.  Act as a strategic thought partner across the division to ensure best practice approach to integrated communications, digital marketing and demand generation
•Oversee strategy, development and execution of complex, insight driven and highly customized, integrated marketing strategies and multi-channel demand generation campaigns that generate business impact.  
•Foster the BSC brand and ensure compliance to brand standards across all campaigns, collateral. Ensure creation of compelling content that influences customers across traditional, digital, and social mediums in alignment with marketing objectives.  
•Strengthen UroPH digital demand generation capabilities and drive campaign execution to support robust HCP and patient marketing pipeline(s) focusing on acquisition, development and nurturing of key targets.   Provide leadership to marketing automation development team.  
•Direct creative, content, social,  UX/UI teams and coach digital production teams to create compelling and effective customer and patient experiences across all touchpoints.
•Lead the introduction of new approaches to digital marketing communication including ‘Closed Loop Marketing’ and ‘Performance Based (Agile)’ Marketing models.  Ensure strong sales and marketing alignment to achieve results. 
•Recommend digital and operations technology customization and investments.  Partner across Digital COEs and IT to ensure UroPH needs are prioritized.  Advocate and build investment case for any divisional specific customization or requirements.
•Provide direction to Trade Show, Content Operations, and communication’s project management teams.
•Foster KPI driven culture, ensure creation of dashboards to track and report campaign performance, overseeing the collection and utilization of performance data to inform progress and guide optimization. 
•Evaluate, select and direct external agencies in the creation of communication, digital and content assets.  
•Actively identify leverage opportunities – across the division, BSC and globally to efficiently propagate digital and integrated communications strategies and/or assets.  Ensure execution best practice processes that optimize performance. 
•Analyze industry trends, identify key insights/trends, and present recommendations
•Foster a high-performance team culture.  Identify opportunities to actively coach and develop talent, strengthen team expertise, seek to empower individuals, and drive accountability for agreed upon commitments. 

 

Minimum Qualifications:
•Ideal candidate is a master at leading and inspiring teams with a strong track-record of developing, executing, scaling, and consistently measuring innovative, results-focused integrated communications and demand generation campaigns along with operational capabilities.
•10+ years of marketing programs experience, with emphasis on digital marketing and integrated communications management.
•Prior digital marketing (web, social, email) and demand generation experience is a must.  Direct to patient  or communications agency experience is a plus.  
•Significant experience with CRM and marketing automation is a must, Salesforce, SalesCloud and Marketing Cloud is a plus. 
•Experience in defining and building data requirements and governance programs is a plus
•Analytical mindset with ability to define, track and report on leading campaign performance metrics and  ROI.
•Proven ability to drive change and influence organizations.  Able to manage complexity of multiple projects, programs and priorities in a fast paced, dynamic environment.
•Able to effectively collaborate across multiple and diverse internal stakeholder groups including Product Marketing, Sales, IT, Corporate Communications, Legal, Regulatory and Finance.
•Ability to engage and influence cross-functional colleagues, even without direct reporting relationships.
•Experience working globally in a virtual & matrix organization, directly across multiple countries/regions, with proven ability to work within areas of cultural difference or consumer sensitivity.
•Willing to travel up to 20%, including domestic and international.
