About the role: 
Provide support to ensure the quality and integrity of clinical data for pre- and post-market clinical studies by reviewing clinical data for completeness, accuracy, and consistency.  Assist in the creation of tools such as data collection instruments, data management plans, database specifications, and edit checks, as well as the. on studies.  Collaborate with cross-functional clinical colleagues (e.g., Trial Operations, Site Operations, Safety, Biostatistics, Quality and Medical Sciences).



Your responsibilities will include: 

  • Perform clinical data review and query generation/closure to ensure data completeness, accuracy and consistency in accordance with the investigational plan
  • Assist in the creation of study-specific Case Report Forms (CRFs) according to study/device specific information and departmental standards. Work efficiently to incorporate core clinical team input and produce CRFs in a timely manner
  • Develop and/or review study-specific data management and database documentation, which may include: Data Management Plan, CRF Completion Guidelines, Data Review Guidelines, Annotated CRFs, Edit Check Specifications, and UAT Plans in accordance with Good Clinical Practices (GCP) and Good Documentation Practices (GDP)
  • Attend study-specific team meetings and produce requested metrics, which may include query information or data trends
  • Assist in the validation and UAT of EDC databases based on internal procedures, approved requirements and system best practices
  • Provide subject matter expertise to project team members during all phases of project life cycle
  • Maintain compliance with corporate, core and study-specific learning requirements


Required qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • 2+ years of clinical research experience, including a minimum of 1 year of clinical data management experience
  • Clinical database (EDC) systems knowledge
  • Project coordination skills with demonstrated ability to effectively interface with internal and external customers
  • Knowledge of clinical terminology, regulations, GCP, GDP and FDA CFR Part 11, and ICH
  • Understanding of the clinical research life cycle process 


Preferred qualification:

  • Experience with Medidata Rave preferred
  • Medical device experience
  • Excellent interpersonal communication 
  • Ability to prioritize and multitask
  • Excellent organization skills and attention to detail
